To all of those below that continue to moan that this hotel is NOT 5 star then you are correct? It is a wonderful 4 star (as you ill see on the entrance. The hotel is fantastic value for money As for the contributor from Hove who was expecting a London 5 star hotel all that I can say is spend your holiday in London and not overseas? Mmmmm I expect that you wouldn't be able to afford it? My partner and I (he is a bespoke travel agent) spent 7 glorious nights at the hotel, the staff were fantastic, food, yes, Greek and buffet style was excellent. Stop whining or book the Ritz!!!!!

We stayed here in July and had a great family holiday. The hotel is small but really stylish. We had a family suite which was perfect as we have two young boys so we could separate their sleeping area at night. The bed was super comfortable with a duvet not the standard thin sheets and quality white cotton bedding.
The pool area was quiet with good chill out music in the background and with plenty of loungers. we loved the big day beds to lie on if the kids needed some shade or to lie back and enjoy an afternoon cocktail from the bar. There is another small pool which we often had to ourselves. The bar staff were happy to bring drinks/ coffee to your bed, nothing was too much trouble but they kept nicely to the background.
Food was fantastic, a lot of traditional Greek but also a selection of pastas plus a good wine list. A couple of excellent traditional tavernas at the edge of the village set in little courtyards serving Greek specialities like fried courgette flowers.
Sisi bay has got good fish restaurants and great little cafés right at the port around 15 minutes walk away, plus Bufos beach is a nice little cove around 10 mins away plus the long private Robinson beach further over the rocks so plenty to do if you want a bit more to do than just chilling by the pool.

Room Tip: Ground floor family suites facing a little raised bed of plants are quiet and peaceful. Blackout bl...

We would like to thank you for staying at our Hotel. We are sorry to hear that we didn’t meet your expectations and the same time we are really surprised because everything was wrong according your review. Please kindly allow us to state our point of view.
About the food: In our Hotel we are offering Greek and mostly Cretan food variety. We understand that food is a subjective issue, however we are seriously taking our guest’s opinion into consideration and therefore we always try the best possible to improve our services. We strongly support Cretan diet and local products as it’s the best way to communicate our tradition and origin to our foreign visitors.
Concerning Staff: we are very proud for our staff. Most of our employees work here for many years and always do the best possible to serve our guests in any case.
About the room: the room described in this review, even if it’s located in the annex is renovated with the same standards and same materials, as all other rooms in the main building, including the bed mattress. Also there are black out curtains in all entrance doors, including the room described.
Please be informed that both our properties are disinfected regularly and according legislation.
Should you wish to travel in north Crete in the near future, we would be happy to accommodate you again and change your thoughts.

The room was nice but not that special for a suite and wasn't quite up to the 5 star standard you would find in a London hotel.
The pools were good and the staff were friendly. The only problem we had was that the towel rail under the sink broke and the handyman did not do a very good job of fixing.
The location was good, it was a little way off from the harbour and set back from the sea so was nice and quiet with a lovely view of the mountains.
The food was ok but all buffet so nothing special. But it was difficult to get really good food anywhere in Sissi.
Overall a lovely time but wouldn't necessarily go back to Sissi again. If i did then i probably would stay at Angela's again.

The Angela Boutique Hotel has the makings a of a lovely place to stay but is completely lacking in any atmosphere. We had to change rooms 3 times and ended up in suite at the top of the building which was lovely but.....Not a single picture on the wall, no tissues, had to keep pool towels for whole of 2 week stay - just lacking in the little touches. The food was appalling both for breakfast and dinner. it was quite expensive to stay there and to have a buffet dinner every evening of the most boring food was a disappointment, no cloths on the tables just cheap white paper place mats. We did have a nice holiday but on the couple of cold days there was no where big enough inside the hotel to sit so endless cups of coffee had to be bought in the various tavernas. Needs alot more thoght.

Not sure where it says this is five star but for the price you would have to be a moron to think it would be like the George V in Paris, where for what we paid for a week B&B (and return flight to Crete) you could stay four nights, make your own way there and eat the wallpaper.

Honestly, get real people. This is a reasonably "chic" boutique hotel, clean friendly, 3 variously sized swimming pools and with guests who are not battling over plastic cups at the AI bar! It is small enough that it makes everybody mix and say hello!

The hotel has four stars on the doormat.

The staff were all friendly, nobody on reception was surly or unhelpful (maybe you get what you give) and front of house Georgia and Klyde could not be more friendly answering the same questions they have heard a thousand times from the other side of the bar.

I travelled with my wife and we would not hesitate to recommend this to anybody, ground floor junior sweet spotless and adequate with no view of the Torbay landscape, like we cared. We first encountered Sissi on a boat trip from Hersonissos about 7 years ago and it has hardly changed, except the boat trip is now a pirate ship. If you wanted to I spose you could get on it at Hersonissos and drop off home for tea in Sissi, like a sort of ferry trip.

Anyway bed and breakfast I can vouch for and plenty of places to eat round and about. Milatos turned out to be quite an adventure and ignore all the baloney about beaches. The biggest one at the Robinsons camp up the road is not private and nobody challenged (six of) us about mooching around the complex, a lovely German couple who we spoke to told us that Rbinsons are quite happy for non-guests to go and have swim or a look round, the place is enormous.

Everyone there at the same time as us appeared to have a good time though the weather was a bit "parky" for the Weds Thurs Fri and Sat. But we met some good company and yattered away the time so who cares about the state of the Greek economy even closing down the sunshine.

Bottom line, would we go again? Try stopping us.
