We stayed here for 7 days and the staff was great, the room was perfect, the view was beautiful. The most romantic place to fall in love with that special someone. Castello village resort will always have a special place in our hearts. We will be coming back as mr. & mrs. Erickson, it's a long way from the USA but well worth the trip!! Love the great food and pools, the staff went out of there way to make everything great! Thanks again to everyone for the time of our life's.

We were at Castello Village Hotel April 2014.
The room we first got was tiny and have had twin beds (instead of double) -
We asked for a different room and got a better one - two floors,
the ground has a small couch and a kitchen -
and the upper floor was out bed with a bathroom and balcony.
The room itself was OK, but we didn't have hot water in the tub,
and the AC didn't work very well...

Wi-fi available at the Lobby, nice food in breakfast and dinner, and we could use the facilities of the 5 star hotel (Castello Boutique) across the road.
Sisi is quiet isolated, but with a car everything's reachable.
There is a nice pub next to the hotel "Jolly Rogers" - check it out

The staff was very kind and tried to help us as much as possible ...
I would recommend to stay in the hotel, but lower your expectations,
4 star hotel in Crete is not a four star hotel in Rome ...

Positive points: good level of pools, delicious foods, great staff, the separated buildings give exciting atmosphere

Negative points: old furnitures in our room, mosquitos and ants disturb our sleep, air condition only for extra charge (it was mentioned free of charge)

We spent there 1 week with 12 people big family. First night we could not get the rooms as booked, 2nd day it was reorganised. Every point of Sissi is reachable on foot (harbour, beach, restaurants, car renting, local supermarket). We enjoyed all the week in the hotel and during the events like excursions, visiting water city, quad riding, beaching. Special thanks to the excellent waiters Dimitris in Delfi bar, Georges in Dionysos bar, they made our stay gorgeous.

Stayed here for 4 days having chosen via TripAdvisor. Delighted by attitude and professionality of the staff we met - particularly Iro and Maria who were faultless-always a smile and always keen to help in any way possible.
Breakfasts were a feature of the place-excellent quality and variety.
Location was just a few minutes walk alongside the sea from the village where there is a good range of quality restaurants and bars. Ormos Bar well worth a visit for quality of service and crepes, waffles - great location as well to watch the world stroll by.

Room Tip: Higher apartments for the views

On this trip we stayed at 4 different hotels and this one had the best room by far. We were a party of 3 and were given a 2 bedroom apartment with a sea view. The balcony was very spacious with comfortable furniture. The people that work here are simply fabulous an go out of their way to help you with any questions.

The beach is beautiful and spectacular. We went swimming as well as snorkeling. The water was very clear and clean.

The food was good but I felt they catered to much to the Germans that made up the majority of the guests. Far to many sausages, franks and beans. I would have liked to have seen more authentic Greek food. I cant comment on the entertainment because it was cancelled due to rain.

I absolutely recommend this hotel!

Back in Crete again for another holiday and to visit family. However this time we moved up the coast to Sissi to be closer to family who live in the next village.Having arrived some 3 hours later than scheduled due to alleged aircraft problems,we were pleasantly surprised by the reception we received on arriving at the hotel.Nothing was too much trouble.Having originally thought that we had booked a studio we were shown to a one bedroom apartment that was only 3 metres from the pool and all the main amenities the hotel had to offer. The room was nice and clean and had two balconies. The room was cleaned daily and towels and bedding changed every other day. From a staff point of view you could wish to find a more pleasant and friendy group of people .They took a shine to our son who loved the attention.
We had booked bed and breakfast and the choice you had was vast ,from breads to fruits ,ommletts and pancakes,oh and traditional eggs, bacon, beans and sausage
Overall a most enjoyable holiday were all our needs we're met
Would seriously recommend.

My wife, Caroline and I have just returned from a two week stay here. I have seen it rated as a 4 star in some places, but it is not. Maybe a 3 .The accommodation was good. I have never found in any other hotel staff as friendly and helpful as the staff here. They are what makes me rate this hotel as excellent. We arrived at 12.30a.m. the night shift Manager, Nikos, booked us in then took us to the dining room saying you must be hungry and gave us each a plate of cold meat cuts, cheeses and bread with a bottle of cold water, free. Next day we met other staff who would introduce themselves. Iro the customer service manageress was very helpful at all times,Dimitri the pool barman/ evening dinner waiter could not do enough nor could the head waiter Elvera[might have his name wrong]. Wee Roma the animation/sport is a gem. We were self catering with breakfast as we intended eating out locally . I would not like to try and be self catering with kids though. There was a 2 ring cooker, one of them very small, with a couple of pots and frying pan but no kettle. A few plates cups and glasses and cutlery completed it all. It is a hotel I would go back to
