Although we were staying is Sissi towards the end of the season in Oct, when it gets a bit chilly in the evening, the Jolly Roger was still one of the places we visited most evenings, even if it was just for an hour or so. Really friendly staff and wonderful location down on the seafront. Give it a go!

From the coastal path, you will easily spot the large Jolly Roger sign and to get there is an easy five-ten minute walk from Sissi harbour. The Jolly Roger is certainly a bit quirky. It’s an outdoor bar designed on two levels and decorated as a pirate ship. In fact if you sit on the upper level with the sea visible in the background, you could easily imagine you’re on a boat. The main bar is on the lower level and draws a steady crowd of tourists, locals and expats. Beer is good and there’s a large selection of generous cocktails priced around the six euro mark. A great place for an evening drink – just remember if it’s breezy to take your jacket! The bar closes over the winter period, so we were lucky to catch it before it closes in November.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you didn't think I was happy, which I normally am, but I did have some very bad news at that time which I have personally messaged you about. Normal service is now resumed

Very entertaining evening at the Jolly Roger. Good selection of drinks and Cocktails, bar is full of charm and character right by the sea. George behind the bar was animated & interesting to talk to.Turns out it's a very small world as he has a friend that lives nears us back in the UK. The small negative was that the Wine wasnt great but don't let that put you off as there is plenty of other drinks to choose from and the music was great. We visited at the end of season so unfortunately missed the live music but we still had a fab time. Worth a visit.

Bands on here most nights, quiz nights too. Landlord and landlady are amazing people, drinks here are cheap and amazing was so happy to have found pink gin eventually. Band was amazing doing rocks music and the blues also. Live football here, drinks come with complimentary dish of nuts, like most places in crete which I loved as I love nuts! This little gem looks on the sea which is beautiful, and I believe they do English breakfast but I never had one. Overall good place to go!
