We happened onto this Restaurant and were presently surprised. We entered via the back entrance & later found both a heated terrace & tables abutting the Rhine promenade. The service was very good, but we found the food excellent. This is greaaat German eating! There are several 'old fashioned' German foods on the menu. My husband had a mixed grill of schnitzel & beef with fried potatoes & veg, served in the grill-pan, a tradition we liked very much in Southern Germany. We were too late for the obviously great kuchen and will therefore not judge the sweet we had. But the very fact that not a 'stuck kuchen' was available speaks volumes, i.e., it's good. We enjoyed the food & the service very much! The price was typical of the average German restaurant as well--didn't break the budget, but not for a thrifty saver.
