Our son was allowed to use his dog as a proposal prop in asking his girlfriend to marry him in the hotel lobby. We were staying at the DoubleTree and he was simply visiting us during our stay. The receptionist and management were all very helpful in carrying out the task

This was my first time to stay in Omaha and this hotel was a good first choice. It used to be an Embassy Suites so the rooms are good sized and the central layout is the same.

Rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly.

A couple nights a week they offer a managers special for drinks and snacks which is always a nice welcome plus there is a small bar.

The fitness center is decent sized and there is a pool.

Good location off the freeway and there's a good steakhouse 50 yards away that the locals love.

Nice suite and I enjoyed the view from the bay doors onto the courtyard within the hotel. The bed linens were comfortable, big screen TV's and the citrus shampoo was lovely. Only problem was access to internet since only one connection is allowed per room, this meant that my phone or computer worked, but not both, so I was constantly re-registering. Otherwise, a comfortable stay and accomadating staff.

Some cleanliness problems in room, coffee-maker broken. Problem with shuttle pick-up on check-in so we were ignored for a while. The rooms have glass doors which don't feel secure and the ones facing the 5 story atrium are noisy. Breakfast was $15.pp for the same foods you get for free at Comfort Inns or Holiday Inn Express, etc. It was held in the atrium and the food was cold before you could sit down. Staff was friendly.

This hotel is located on top of a bit of a hill which makes getting around a bit of a chore when you have to carry/pull things for work. Cookies were nice. Housekeeping was great. Not the best place I've ever stayed, but certainly OK for a week long stay for work.

This property made me feel unsafe, unclean, and unwanted.
The front desk staff was not professional, nor prompt.
The room wasn't clean, your socks stuck to the carpet, the 1940's fridge was turned off, so when I opened it the entire suite smelled like rotten eggs. There were tears in the bedding. I tore my toe on a tack strip.
On to safety...The swing latch on our door was busted off. There was a nearly 2 inch gap between the front door and the floor. The door that lead to the shared balcony had it's security bar broken also, and to replace it was a wooden dowel that was not even the entire length of the door track, to deter an intruder!
The pool was full of people, I think someone (or a couple families) were having a pool party. In my opinion, booking one room and having 17 kids at the pool (with 1 or 2 adults) is disrespectful to all of the other guests.
There were loud kids running laps around the shared balcony after my family went to sleep.
Overall, wouldn't stay again. If it'd been a $35 room, I might have expected these things, but not from a Hilton brand property. Very disappointed.

Something is just a bit disjointed about the service. Starting with a desk staff that is a bit weak in experience and hospitality when checking in. Then the breakfast (a large restaurant with many tables and far few staff can leave you standing in the morning with quite a number of business people needing to get in and out...but that won't happen. Tables not cleared, backed up checkout, the cashier running takeout orders from the back room. Then the breakfast buffet...hmmm. Not great. Hot foods, not too hot, limp and greasy bacon, overdone and cooling potatoes. Limited array of fruit. Costly too. This nice facility needs a major staff overhaul before I try it for business again. Rooms are clean and well appointed. WIFI is free and works well. Housekeeping does a good job.

Room Tip: High rooms are best for street sound avoidance
