The free wine and beer reception for an hour, the free homemade cookies and free breakfast are all AMAZING!! There is also free on-street parking. This Hotel is walking distance to EVERYTHING, shopping, bars, and resturants. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. They call and make your dinner reservations for you and will give you directions and advice to any of the resturants.

The hotel and service were nice, however I was traveling alone with 2 small children and the rooms did not have a mini fridge or microwave which are needed necessities. They didn't even have a common area with these amenities available. Next door on both sides of us were people that stayed up and partied all night keeping me awake and luckily my kiddos didn't wake up, or I would have been a very unhappy mother. Valet was great helping load and unload stuff, but wanting to use a stroller or something you'd either have to leave it in the car and have valet get it every time or bring it up to your room taking up a bunch of space. This hotel is not for people traveling with children. P.S. My in-laws stayed there also, and had to change rooms at 11pm because the drain was clogged with a used condom, so disgusting!

Comfortable, friendly place in the Old Market, near arts and sporting venues. Great breakfast, comfortable beds, fun happy hour. Took my daughter here for a get away to see a show in nearby Holland Arts Center. Perfectly located.

Stayed here on business for two nights. Nice looking rooms, but common areas (apart from the bar) are tired, worn, and outdated.

When I arrived the TV in my room didn't work.

On both mornings, I was woken up by an alarm clock in a neighboring room, and I am a fairly heavy sleeper. The first morning, no one was actually staying in the room, so the alarm went off periodically from 5 AM on, making sleep impossible.

The second morning, there was no hot water, so showered/shaved with cold water. Others in my party had the same experience.

To top it off, parking is $15 unless you want to park on the street, which you can't do after 8 AM w/o feeding a meter, so essentially rates are $15 higher/night than listed.

Staff was nice, but seemed a little incompetent.

Not staying here again.

Fantastic service. The staff are very friendly and provide an overall unique experience!

I loved the nighttime cookies, complimentary reception, and the morning breakfast. Everything tasted wonderful!

The rooms are in a very unique location near old market. This offers walking access to many restaurant and shopping sites. If the place you are visiting is not within walking distance, you may take a shuttle to anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel. They also offer free shuttling to the airport, which was extremely helpful for us.

They staff are very accommodating and respond timely and professionally to any requests. Great hospitality!

I stayed in a King parlor suite. The room was clean and spacious but the refridgerator didn't work which I unfortunately didn't find out until my sushi sat in it overnight. The bed was just average i have slept at hotels for less money with better beds. The lounge was nice and the breakfast was typical hotel hot breakfast. Nice hotel but probably overpriced for what you get.

I was here on New Year's Eve with my husband on our honeymoon, and it was not a highlight of the trip. The historic building is pleasant, but the front desk clerk refused to smile or make eye contact once he realized we were a gay couple. Are all paying guests welcome here or not?

The room was reasonably spacious, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. But, the bathroom had an annoying sliding door that left a half-inch gap no matter what we did, so we had less privacy than we would have liked.

It's fine, but I'd try another hotel next time.
