I had the chance to stay here for almost 20 days in a row, plus some, as part of a transition to a new position.

The hotel staff was friendly, but what makes this one a gem is that it is in Omaha's Old Market area. You are literally within 1000 steps of dozens of restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, with most much closer (and less expensive than eating at the hotel's restaurants!)

The rooms are pretty much your standard Embassy Suites fare - big screen TVs in each room. One minor gripe - the remote was locked out so I couldn't plug my laptop into the TVs to play movies. Without a DVD player it the room, this was a bummer.

The breakfasts were consistently good. You could get a custom-cooked omelette or pancakes if you'd like every day. The fitness equipment worked okay - it is starting to get a little tired. The pool looked nice - I never did try it.

Parking does cost extra, but it is in a monitored and controlled lot (uses your room key for entry), so I never got a chip in my paint while I was there.

Stuff you have to do if you stay here: walk in the Old Market. If you like a variety of shops and restaurants, you can't go wrong here.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor if available. The streets of the Old Market area can be noisy.

The Omaha Old Market Embassy Suites is an incredible place for a meeting/conference. Close to Omaha's airport (OMA), great staff (midwest friendly), clean spacious rooms, and across the street from the incredible Old Market maked this a great location when in Omaha or planning an event. Our meeting room was excellent. As a meeting planner for a national group, I especially liked the free breakfasts and the close proximity to the Old Market which offers a number of great restaurants for evening events. The Hotel is upgrading rooms this summer. It was a hit with our group!

Thank you for your delightful review!

We strive to be the best, and when our guests recognize that, when there are other hotel options, we are elated that we are able to stand out. I am glad to hear our banquet staff was helpful and friendly and you enjoyed the banquet space.

I am also happy to hear that you were able to enjoy the Old Market. The Old Market is a premier arts and entertainment district featuring fine dining, shopping, and upscale night life. Next time you are in town please let us know if you need anything or stop by the Front Desk for some great restaurant recommendations.

Thank you again for taking the time to review our hotel.

This hotel gets an average review from us. I agree with Natalie T. on everything she wrote, so I won't repeat it all. But the cooling control issues makes sleeping uncomfortable. The front room is cold and the bedrooms warm. The bedding is old too. We too had to request bedding for the pull out couch which took forever. They donot have a rollaway bed which we needed and requested upon booking and were not told that they were not available. Our biggest gripe is paying for WIFI!! I also thought the additional cost of parking was excessive too. At the cost per night these should have been included. Check in took forever.

The cooked to order breakfast was average, not great. The pool area was also just average. The work out room, however, was above average. It was large, well maintained with treadmills, stairsteppers, BOSU, weights, etc.. We will look elsewehere for our next visit to Omaha.

You will like this hotel. The large suites, pefectly tended lush indoor garden, free social hour
and free cooked-to-order breakfast, located right at Omaha's thriving Old Market, what's
not to like?

This is not a new property, but it has been well maintained and has both the substantiality and
design that are lacking in many newer versions of many new hotels. You are also in the
midst of the Old Market, with some of the finest restaurants in Omana. It is also within walking
distance of the new baseball stadium used by the College World Series and a concert venue, the CenturyLink Convention Center, Central Park Mall, the Orpheum Theater, and newer
Holland Center for the Performing Arts. For visitors who fly into Omaha, you are about a 5 minute dirve from Omaha's Eppley Field Airport.

The friendliness and efficiency of the staff at both the free Manager's Reception and the cooked-to-order buffet were impressive. The front kiosk (formerly front desk) personnell were
equally welcoming.

The all-suites rooms and public areas are well maintained, and the location- that's a big part
of what it's all about.

Room Tip: All the "rooms" are spacious suites.

Every time we visit the Omaha Zoo, we stay in this hotel because we've had nothing but a great experience. Why would we stay anywhere else?
I booked using my Hilton Honors points. I wanted a King room, but one wasn't available when I made the reservation. I simply asked at check-in if one had since become available, and we were placed in one. Then we found out it was a corner room, which was even more awesome! More room and a great view.
We immediately swam in the pool and sat in the hot tub. Both very nice. Attended the manager's reception. The carpet area was being cleaned where they normally have the reception, but they managed in the bar area. Decent selection of drinks and the kids were happy with the chips and salsa.
We walked to eat in the Old Market. That's what's cool about staying here. You can just leave your car and walk to a bunch of different restaurants, bars and shops. After dinner, we walked around the ConAgra grounds which are right next to the hotel. A pretty lake is out there and it makes for a nice stroll.
Beds were super comfortable, and I don't think I heard any outside noise at all.
Breakfast is always a hit. Love the pancake bar.
A five- to ten- minute drive to the zoo for the day! Great location and wonderful place to stay. We'll be back!!
