We stayed 3 nights at the Embassy Suites Omaha Downtown/Old Market in mid-March during the extremely busy time.....Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament. This was a family trip with two teenage children. We don't regret a thing regarding booking there. In fact we canceled our reservations at a different hotel when we realized there were rooms available at the Embassy. The hotel lobby/atrium is so beautiful and relaxing. It's water feature runs throughout the entire bottom floor and is accented with gorgeous lighting and foliage. Our suite was very clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable and linens are white and very soft. I can't say enough good things about the hotel staff. We spoke with staff at valet parking, check-in, housekeeping, the breakfast chef (who rocks), and security. They were all very friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. The price per night is very reasonable considering the hot breakfast/cook-to-order goes with the reservation. The pool area was also very clean and well maintained. Fitness room has a nice variety of high-quality equipment. It was a great stay and we will definitely book again.

Room Tip: We had an "accessible" room which means the bathroom accomodates a wheelchair. The lay-out of the bathroom is different from other rooms. It was fine, but I didn't request that type of room and they didn't mention it at check-in. If you would rather not have an accessible room, be sure to mention it at check-in.

Have stayed here many times over the last 5-8 years. Always nice and clean, great free breakfast, awesome location in the heart of the Old Market in Omaha and just a few miles from the zoo. However, we have paid as much as $250 per night which is pretty high, even considering the location. A search today (March 2012) indicates more reasonable prices at $180 per night, but still a little pricey in my opinion.

We stayed here with our kids and everyone enjoyed the stay!! The pool and hot tub were top notch. The manager's reception and breakfast were treats and the location in the Old Market part of town cannot be beat. The room was great but the best part was that the housekeeping staff found our Teddy we accidentally left behind. I gave them a call about it and they were kind enough to mail it back to us w/o charge. Everyone was nice but have to give it to housekeeping, they made our little ones day when they sent Teddy back! I highly recommend staying at this hotel with kids. The zoo is right down the road and the many restaurants in the Old Market make meals easy! We need to go back soon!

I used 30,000 of my Hilton points to have a quick get away to Omaha from KC with wife and two kids. Spent morning and early afternoon at SAC Museum and got to hotel at 2 PM. Son walked in with me to check in and his response was "THis is awesome" and took off to look over the koi "stream" that ran through the whole atrium. Good start to our stay.

Check-in - Totally smooth, no problems.

Room - Bright, clean typical Embassy Suites room. Living room was comfortable for 4 of us to watch TV on sofa and arm chair. View toward river was nice. 42 inch flat screen TV in both rooms.

Common areas - THis hotel had lots of common area if you want to sit and have a drink or read a book. Place was packed never felt overwhelmed

Location - You can not get a better location if you want to wander around the Old Market area. Cross 10th Street and you are on Jackson in center of all the action.

Pool/Workout area - Pool area was clean and well maintain with decent size hot tub. Was busy because of all the kids in the hotel. Workout room was great, plenty of high end machines plus free weights. Ten yr old son wanted to work out because it looked so cool.

Happy Hour/Breakfast. - Been awhile since I stayed in a Embassy Suites and I was surprised to hear that the happy hour was occuring during a weekend. Did not hit bar right at 5:30 because of the line but by 6:15 only had to wait 5 min for a drink. They had 3 types of beer, wine and mixed drinks. Both servers were very nice. Made for a great value. Breakfast was normal Embassy Suites breakfast. Liked that fresh pancakes were made along with omeltes. Plenty of workers to keep lines moving.

General - If we go to Omaha again this will be our go to hotel. Kids and wife are already wanting to go again.

Room Tip: We had room not on main hallway so it was quiet. View out window of room 622 was nice.

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Omaha's Old Market a few different times and have enjoyed each stay. The staff is friendly and the rooms are large and clean. The breakfasts are good as usual. The area is close to downtown with many choices for food and entertainment. The hotel offers a parking lot across the street for overnight parking. I would recommend staying at this hotel.
