I will start off with what we enjoyed- The decor and rooms were very nice.
It felt like the second we walked in everything went wrong. First of all we were promised a king size bed and did not get it, instead we got a room with two queens. They sent us to a room that had not been cleaned yet there was trash every where and well you could guess what was in the toilet so the room stunk so bad. At first when we called down to tell them about it they told us to just leave our stuff in the room and it would be cleaned as soon as possible. Then after talking to management we were moved to another room that was cleaned but still no king size bed. Then while we were in our room having an intimate moment the maid just walks right into our room without knocking and not apologizing after she sees us.
We then call down to the ZIN room to get a reservation for dinner but they are completely booked for the night. So we decide to eat in the bar area. After waiting for service for a half hour to order a drink and food it took 2 hours for our food to arrive. They had miss placed our order somewhere they said. When our 3 appetizers came 2 of them were burned and they had to send it back and so we had to wait another half hour. This whole time we were sitting at the bar so we were able to observe how busy the bartender was. She couldn't keep up at all. I felt bad for her. She was very nice but needed help. She had to shut down the bar three times for 20 minutes so she could get stuff in order. In the mean time her supervisor is standing on our side of the bar taking shots and drinking along with other customers. I could not believe this due to how hectic and busy it was.
So what we thought would be a one hour dinner and drinks turned into almost three and half hours!
The next morning I was so excited to use the hotels nice showers but the water was freezing. So much for a nice shower! This hotel could be very nice. The beds are comfy, the decor is beautiful, the employees are very nice, but all we kept hearing from them is we are sorry, we are sorry, we are sorry. I feel bad for the employees there. Management and owners need to step it up! They are way under staffed!
