Our friends picked this place for our monthly restaurant outing. They hit a home run with this selection. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall a little off the main road, and you can easily miss it if you don't know where to look. From the outside, the restaurant looks like a small hole-in-the-wall. But inside, the place is quite spacious with a modern, clean decorum. We arrived about 30 minutes early for our reservation, but they had our table waiting for us and seated us right away. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Our waiter, Wes, was knowledgeable of the menu and gave us some great recommendations throughout the meal. The service was fast, and Wes took care of us very well. The only glitch occurred when my friend ordered a glass of chardonnay and he was brought a red wine instead. Wes was apologetic and quickly corrected the mistake. We ordered the bruschetta and avocado egg rolls for our appetizers. Both were very tasty. The roasted tomato spread for the bruschetta was excellent, but the bread could have been toasted longer to make it more crispy. The egg rolls were outstanding. Three of us ordered the penne asparago and the other person ordered the grilled rainbow trout. The portion sizes were more than adequate (three of us took home food boxes). All the food was well prepared and came out quickly. Overall, the food was excellent! For dessert, based of Wes' recommendation, we tried the chocolate cake. It was decadent--very chocolatey, rich, and not too sweet. A good choice. In fact, he entire restaurant experience there was a good choice. Near the end of the meal, the place filled up and got a little noisy, but the place was very upbeat, and the noise didn't bother us at all. We will definitely consider coming back!!

Thank you for dining at Salt. Wes has such a great demeanor and care about all of his tables and others for that matter. We recently promoted Wes to manage while my wife takes maternity leave. Wes will continue to also wait tables and would love to make sure he can take care of you for your next reservation. Have a great year, and we hope to see you back at Salt soon.

Best,
John Horvatinovich

Our first time dining here so we went with an open mind. We were delighted with the selections on the menu...nice variety with a unique twist. The tomato basil soup was a great start followed by the rainbow trout. Everything was tasty. Service was top notch....Wes was very attentive and clearly knows how to please the customers. We loved the modern interior but it was a little noisy for quiet conversation. Wish we had room for dessert....saving it for next time.

Great appetizers, as others have said, don't miss the seared tuna and "the other calamari". We've had calamari all over the world and this is one of the best. The service was amazingingly fast. Their chocolate cake is one of the best, but add the cinnamon ice creame to it and it becomes world class.

You can make a meal out of their happy hour appetizers. Try the pizza or the truffle fries. Good selection of wines at reasonable prices. Modern atmosphere. Can get a little loud. When nice weather, check out the patio that overlooks the golf course.

We have only been there once or I would have given it a 5. One of those rare occurrences where you try a new restaurant and everything is good. 4 diners, 2 of them restaurant owners and we were all pleased. Our appetizers and entrees ranged from good to very good. The big hits of the evening were the cedar planked salmon, the sausage pizza, spicy chicken noodle soup and the ladies loved there martinis. The chef / owner made a point to visit our table which was appreciated by all. Can't wait to go back !
