This is our first time visiting Omaha. Our daughter-in-law suggested it. The baked mushrooms were outstanding. As was the crab cakes. I had the Reuben and was surprised that it wasn't served on marble rye. It was on a brown bread that quickly became saturated and made it difficult to eat though it was quite tasty. Our three year old granddaughter had the cheese and cracker kid's plate. The crackers were large and home made. It was served with a bowl of fresh pineapple and grapes. Great idea for kids and quite tasty. We definitely would recommend it.

Omaha, NE--Old Market Place, downtown. Inside/outside dining! Great selection of wines, beer (of course), and food. Very reasonably priced. Old pub atmosphere. Large bar area. Good for families. Would definitely go back again. Great service right away. When dining in the summer months, service and seating may be slower, but that's because of everyone else getting there before you. Very popular place. Have a drink while waiting.

Very happy with our dinner at M's. Cozy atmosphere in an old, renovated building in the Old Market district. Extensive wine and liquor list. Regular menu is varied and reasonably priced, the "dinner special" menu is pricier. We had the steak sandwich and the pub favorite sandwich, and both were excellent. The creme brûlée dessert was top-notch. Service by JoAnn was attentive and personable. Looked as if the rest of the wait staff was on top of things also. An enjoyable experience all around, and contrasted nicely with a poor experience at one of their competitors down the street on the previous evening.

This was our first time to try M's and we will for sure go back next time we are in Omaha. We went on a Wednesday night and there was no wait. We got a nice table by the window and were waited on right away (some reviews here complained about not being taken care of promptly but we did not experience that at all).

Our appetizer was ammmazing - one of M's "Renowned Baked Dishes" - the mushrooms. Oh man - if you go make sure you get one. If you like cheese you will not be disappointed. For our main course we split a steak and it was delicious. And we did not get an attitude from the server for splitting, either. Very nice!

There seem to be quite a few locals who come in and hang out at the bar. Nice atmosphere and even nicer food. I recommend this place.

The hostess looks past you as you enter to greet the people who came in behind you, hug, and make small talk. Then, oh yeah we're here too! Wait for a table to be bused, wait some more to get place- settings down...tick tock now 20 minutes later we are seated...a person brings us water and makes zero eye contact... Wait some more...finally our server shows apologetically and we order pronto...now 40 minutes since cracking the front door. An hour after arrival we received our dinner, by a different waiter....didn't see our gal until payment time. My advice...avoid...or just settle down for an evening of being taken for a slow ride to a just okay meal.
