To get to M's Pub we walked five short blocks from our downtown Omaha hotel in a cold rain and we don't regret it. The restaurant is in the historic Old Market section. Lots of good restaurants and antique shops. I think the restaurant building was a warehouse in the early days. Very high ceilings.
We were there on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. (We didn't have reservations but they accommodated us quickly.) The menu offers a very wide selection of foods. The Lahvosh -- a Greek-style flatbread with many different toppings to choose -- is a specialty that was more than adequate as an appetizer for two and could have served four. The entrees were excellent and the service was fine. Our server was very helpful and really knew the menu and dishes.
Caution for those concerned: the acoustics are loud and the restrooms are down a flight of stairs.
A wedding rehearsal dinner was being held in an open section of the restaurant near our table. Toasts, speeches and all. Apparently, they don't have a closed room for such events -- which was a testimony to the quality of the food at M's.
We would definitely go again.
