Lots of menu choices, mulligetawny, naan, chicken marsala, all the typical foods. Chai tea in chilly temps is nice. Dining on 2 levels at night. They also have a lunch menu that is reasonable in price. Spiciness to order, mild or hot. Service can be slow so if you're in a hurry to eat and run, this is not the place to be. Go when you have time to enjoy. Walk around Old Market when finished.

IO is a great restaurant for anyone who enjoys Indian food or is looking to try something different. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, however, at times, when busy, service can be slow.... Despite that fact, the food is excellent, the portions are appropriate, and the experience overall is worth while!

The atmosphere was decent but there was a long hair in my rice and the rice was pretty hard. The dishes were ok, drinks just ok as well.

Ambiance - They have outdoor seating in the old market area but its right next to a cigar shop, so that was ruled out. The interior was nice, they were promoting a local artist, which was good to see.

Menu - very limited vegetarian selection, especially for the entrees. Might be a Omaha thing, but you can have an Indian restaurant with only 10-15% vegetarian options.

Food - seems like they want to artsy/trendy about the food without really focusing on taste/flavor. It wasn't anything to rave about at all.

Service - There was only one waiter, who had no clue about the ingredients.
The owners/chef seemed to be pre-occupied with talking with the artist and non Indian folks. It was disturbing to see that they did not stop by even once to ask how things were. We felt singled out (as Indians) as they did appear very friendly with non Indians. This behavior when there were only 3-4 tables occupied.

Cost - $$ but not worth it at all. There is much better and cheaper food in town.

Overall, a truly disappointing experience. Waste of time and money.Wish the owners get their priorities straightened out, else its all downhill.

Potentially the best Indian food I've had in Nebraska. It's a fairly small restaurant, keeping it quite personal. Great prices, large selection, and lots of wine!
