It is one of those restaurants that everything is ala carte so it can get pricey really fast but if money is not an object or it's a special occasion this is where you want to go.

I'm so flattered that you think we are one of the beast steaks in town, Emil! We only use the finest ingredients in all of our dishes. This can impact the price, but we think the quality is absolutely worth it -- and it sounds like you think that way too! Hope to see you again soon.

Best,

Mo Tajvar, Owner

A great place to have a nice dinner and greatest steak. A jewel in the Old Market in Omaha, NE. We hd a business dinner on Tuesdat night and the restaurant was so accomodating that we went back three more times in that week.

We are here for the college World Series which in itself is an awesome experience. We went to Omaha prime for our first steak experience here in Omaha. Our waitress was great and as was the atmosphere. Service was great and the food was good but not the best steak I've ever had. Sides were just ok. Overall a good experience.

Thanks for stopping by to see what we're all about, Suzanne! While I'm happy to hear our atmosphere and service earned top marks in your book, I'm sorry our steaks and sides left something to the imagination. Do you have any suggestions on what we could've done to really knock it out of the park for you with our food? Any and all suggestions welcome!

Safe travels,

Went on a Wed evening - place was surprisingly uncrowded. We looked at the ratings and almost left but since we were already there, we stayed. Very difficult stairway to negotiate to get to the dining area - even more difficult to climb down. IF you have any stair issues you should avoid this place. Most of our group are serious meat eaters and were looking for "Omaha Steak". They were not disappointed. The steaks were large and evidently very good as all that was heard throughout the meal was "mmmmm this is really good". The Caesar salad was ok, not remarkable and the anchovies were extra. The baked potatoes were reasonably good but again not remarkable. The mushrooms in what tasted like wine sauce were ok but again not remarkable. The wine and alcohol selections were varied and vast. Service a bit slow considering the lack of customers but acceptable. If you are looking for a good piece of meat this could be your place. However, I have to believe there must be a better place to get Omaha steak.

It means a lot to know we impressed you and your steak-loving group with our generous servings! Thanks also for your constructive feedback on our side dishes. Our baked potatoes are cooked very simply with butter, salt, and pepper, but if you have any suggestions on how it could've been better, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm sorry to hear you felt the service was a little slow, but I'm glad that didn't affect your overall experience with us. We like to give our guests time to relax between courses, but we're always happy to accommodate anyone who might be in a hurry. We'd love to welcome you back to show you we're the very best place for Omaha steaks; I hope you'll give us that chance next time you're in town!

All the best,

When in Rome....when in Omaha, steak seems to be on the agenda. This place should be considered when in the mood to indulge. Service is quite good - professional. Ambiance is a converted warehouse, albeit with white table cloths - also good. Wine selection is certainly appropriate for the establishment. The only less than satisfying experience was the side dishes. The tomato & onion appetizer was over powered by the onions. The balsamic dressing was very thick, almost gel like. A reduction would perhaps play better. The blue cheese potatoes were under cooked and the taste did not live up to the billing. The mushrooms were touted as something special for the restaurant, frankly they tasted like baby bellas with a little Worchester Sauce - nothing particularly special. Lest the reader think this place is to be avoided, I argue nothing of the kind. A good steak at $40 - as it should be. But at that price point the competition gets intense and things should be "spot on" in all aspects.

You're right, Bruce: Every part of a dining experience should be spot-on, and I'm sincerely sorry that wasn't the case when you stopped by. However, I appreciate you taking the time to tell me why. Our chefs are always open to this kind of constructive feedback from our guests, and I know it'll only help us improve!
