Recently visited the gardens, (glass house) during the special evening hours to see the glass sculptures. I am amazed at how much the plants have grown since opening last year. The glass house plants and water features are wonderful, well cared for and a huge diversity of plants. The glass pieces are stunning and with the colored lights are an amazing site. Well worth the trip.
For first time visitors to the glass house, it is designed on a slope, with a winding walkway that takes you to the top. It is wheelchair accessible, but the walks are a bit narrow for a wheelchair and people trying to pass. When you get to the top, there is only two ways back...either retrace your steps to get back to the door you entered or take the elevator down from the top. However, that elevator opens out to the back of the main building and if it is raining or snowing, there is no covered walk to return to the main doors. There is no main level access back to the beginning, IF you take the elevator down.

Love the conservatory. Our strategy is to come here periodically during Winter to walk through beautiful gardens without jackets on. You are inside the conservatory with brilliant sun shining surrounded by lush greens - and it's freezing outside. On this visit there was beautiful glass and metal art arrayed inside the main building and inside the conservatory. And as a huge bonus, the staff does a great job keeping the concrete path clear so you can walk the entire property if you want.

I took my mother in law one Sunday afternoon in June and it was a beautiful day! The flowers were blooming; the lawns were immaculate! It was a nice relaxing walk through the gardens. The statues were there then and they were beautiful! I would highly recommend this place! Very tranquil!

The Lauritzen Gardens have moe than 30 colored glass sculptures on display. There are flowers, butterflies, cardinals and so much more. It is an amazing display. We went on Saturday morning and are returning this evening to see them lit up for a different effect. If you live near Omaha I would highly recommend buying a pass for the year. They have such a variety of displays and it is a beautiful walk in every season! They also have a wonderful gift shop with unique items
