Room was rather dirty, and not much better on the second day. Hide-a-bed had not been changed on our arrival, and in-room coffee pot was filthy. Pool was great, none of the chlorine problems mentioned in other reviews. Water was warm and relaxing, the kids loved it.
Breakfast bar was OK. The front desk clerk/manager was running the breakfast bar and we waited to get checked out while she was stocking the breakfast bar.
Price was right, so if you get a clean room, it was worth it.

All went very smooth, room was ready on time, desk attendants were very friendly, everything in the comfortable room worked as should. BUT if you enjoy coffee in your room, take your own coffee to brew as their coffee packets taste yucky. The complimentary breakfast was good. Didn't use the pool but I sure could smell that chlorine in the air! I would stay there again, yes.

We found our stay to be good for the price. We had 5 people to accomodate, 3 of which were kids so we couldn't split up. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and everyone fought against using it. We really wanted to make maximum use of the pool. Our last night there, there was too much chlorine in the pool and it made us all sick. My six year old even vomited. The breakfast was great but we had to tell the desk when we were out of items. No one was assigned to attend it. Also when we checked in the clerk was not happy with the great price we were able to get on the room through the internet. Overall it was an ok stay, but we don't get to take trips too often. The shortcomings, although few, did put a damper on things for us.

Where to start? First of all, the gentleman behind the front desk when we first arrived was extremely helpful and apologetic for our initial problems (too bad he wasn't around the rest of the weekend!). The continental breakfast was kept well-stocked, thanks to the very helpful and efficient employee in charge of this.

The rest of the stay was terrible. We were there for a family function and had made reservations months before for a block of rooms. Upon arrival, we found that our rooms were scattered throughout the hotel, on all floors. The front desk attendant tried to get us as close as possible, but we were still on different floors. A very small discount was given, but we had to remind them upon check-out to give it to us.

The pool had a very high level of chlorine, and many of our children got sick after only a few minutes of swimming. Some children vomited, and we did notice other guests having the same problems. When we reported it to the front desk, they immediately closed the pool and called for someone to fix it, but even after the problem had been "fixed", the chlorine level was high. More than 20 minutes in the water and our eyes and lungs were affected by the chlorine. Eyes stung for hours after putting your head under water only once.

My handicapped grandfather tripped in the entryway when his foot was caught on a ledge in the doorway. The front desk attendant (who saw him fall) only asked if he needed a band-aid and offered no other help. When we asked for an incident report form, we were told they did not have such a form. We later noticed a very small (3"x3"), inconspicuous sign on the sliding door stating "watch your step". The sign was not easily visible when the doors were open.

When we went to our rooms on the afternoon of the second day, we found out that everyone that had checked in earlier could not get in to their rooms. (Even those that had checked in that morning.) We had to go back down to the front desk to get new keys.

My aunt checked in to her room shortly before 3:00, and found that her room wasn't clean. She notified the front desk, and they sent a maid "right away". My aunt kept asking if her room was clean, and they would tell her it was. But, when she walked by her room, the maid would still be in there. It took over an hour for her to get her room cleaned. On multiple occasions, the front desk offered to get her another room, but said it was pointless, as her room was already clean. Each time they said this, the room was not clean.

We observed the maids on several occassions talking on the phone while they were supposed to be cleaning the rooms. From what we overheard of the conversations, they were personal calls.

The cleaning in general was terrible. Several rooms had food and liquid splattered on the wall, one room had stickers on the wall. One person found pizza in their refrigerator and chips under their bed. Another had hair on their bathroom floor. One of the toilets was dirty. They also failed to take the dirty towels and replace them with clean ones. One room had a couple burned out light bulbs.

One of the bathroom doors would not lock, and one of the window screens had a large hole in it, while another window lacked a screen altogether. The missing screen caused great concern when small children were around and the window was open.

One person found mascara on her pillow, and took it to the front desk. Instead of getting her another pillow, they gave her a key to a different room and told her to get a pillow from the room herself.

When we tried to contact the manager, we were informed that he was out for a month. (Rather surprising, considering this was Thanksgiving weekend and he was the only manager at this hotel.) We were told there was no one else to talk to about our concerns.

It was not a comfortable stay, and we will not be visiting this establishment again.

This hotel needs a renovation. The room designated for the questionable executive continental breakfast (what does that mean?) is horrendous. The room was very plain and basic with hideous carpeting. Made my stomach turn. Guest services brochure indicates ironing board, iron and hair dryer. Not true. When I questioned the front desk, they were short with me and said the brochure is wrong. They boast a hot tub; it wasn't working.
Try the La Quinta across the street, much better!!
