Description: Tiny, rustic indoor seating, with seating in a big beautiful outdoor garden. A very special way to enjoy an evening with friends or family. The homemade desserts are the perfect way to end a delightful meal. We want you to enjoy your evening and enjoy freshly made entrees, so they do take a little more time to prepare when ordering. We also cater business lunches and dinner parties. The red sauce has a little kick to it and I love our lasagna!

Always reliable with knowledgeable staff. Food and cocktails are very good with a reasonably sized menu to choose from.

Wow! I have never had better Chicken Fettuccine! The flavors were amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. The waitress was great giving us wine to sample so we could have the perfect complement to our meal. And, a great photographer as well. My dinner partners also raved about their meals. I don't think you can go wrong with any food here. The restaurant is small so be prepared for a wait. Unless you go on the night of a thunderstorm when everyone else is kept indoors by the weather. We were seated immediately. Perfect end to a good first trip to Omaha.

Don't go on a Monday because it's closed. We went back on Tuesday. Called for a reservation for a party of 6 and were told "we are full but you can eat on the patio". When we arrived, the place was empty and we were promptly seated inside. I have a problem with places that can't keep their reservations straight - makes one question how well they keep the rest of the operation going. Nevertheless, we ordered and had a very good meal. Everyone enjoyed the food but read the menu carefully - one person's order was good but not what he expected. The bruschetta was enjoyed by everyone. We shared a couple of deserts and no one complained. Recommended.

I'm so happy that everyone enjoyed their meals! Our reservation policy is that we only reserve the inside and not the patio.(Nebraska weather is very finicky) If a reservation comes in and would like to sit outside instead, we will let them as long as outdoor seating is available. They then loose their table inside to be outside and have to wait if there are people ahead of them.
On a lot of beautiful summer evenings, the inside ends up being empty, because most reservations choose to move outdoors. People often make a reservation just so they are guaranteed a place to sit in case of rain, hot days, or its just too long of a wait to sit outside.

My wife and I ate there on a Sunday evening. The service was very good and tried very hard to accommodate our requests. The food was very tasty and satisfying. I particularly liked the style of bruschetta that was served with the meal.

Some of the best restaurants in the World you often just drive by , as they are in unique neighborhoods, or often are just a sliver of a building almost as non descript as a speak easy of the 30s. Nicola's is a cross between this and the friendly neighborhood restaurant you would expect to find in New York or Chicago, yet once found the hidden gem sparkles and you wonder how you ever had trouble finding it?! Especially after you realize the quaint little patio on the side of the building that would be perfect in any city to enjoy the weather and to people watch from behind a light iron fence covered with greenery. The food and the friendly personnel make you feel like you are a regular even the first time you stop in. The prices are quite good and after you have the lobster ravioli or any of their other dishes , do not fail to try their lemon cake -- both the lobster or the cake could be overpowering and leave the other ingredients to suffer, but each was delicate, and infused with many other subtle tastes that you enjoyed every bite savoring the many textures and smells. Very nice wine list, and well stocked bar ( especially for the size ) and the waitress was cheerful and attentive as could be , making sure we were not wanting for anything. The owner even came over to make sure we were pleased with the meal and after finding it was our first time, he made sure we also had a taste of their homemade meatballs - definitely savory for those who like a solid, freshly made Italian traditional meat dish! Having spent time with friends in New Jersey and Brooklyn at their favorite Italian Bistros , I felt I could drop this small treasure right in those neighborhoods and they would feel completely at home. We will return often and recommend to friends, as this is a comfort food restaurant with superb service, quaint ambience and high quality food and beverage at a very fair price. Can't wait for another beautiful day to relax on the patio, or inside , as it is place to enjoy your meal and take in what a warm dining experience used to be and can still happen. Keep in mind the views and the overall feeling is superb if you are looking for that place many of you may have grown up going to in a major city. If you are looking for linen tablecloths ,etc. this is not the atmosphere, but for what it truly projects it hits on all buttons for the experience many grew up with --reminded me of the restaurants our family ate at in Europe ( father was in the service ).
