The bridge is nice to walk on. You can start on the Nebraska or Iowa side and walk to the other state over the Missouri river. If you park on the Nebraska side there isn't much parking available.

What a waste of 20 million dollars! A bridge to the armpit of Iowa dollars. And then to name it after Bob when he couldn't even get re-elected.

The bridge is an awesome sight and a good background for the concerts that are held close by. It is a fun walk across and fun to watch all the people as they come and go. Another one of those things you can say you did.

The span across the Missouri that connects Omaha, Nebraska with Council Bluffs, Iowa, is similar to large interstate bridges that cross the Missouri River in St. Louis and Kansas City. This bridge is a pedestrian bridge, though, so it is smaller. (I imagine the boatmen see the bridges as sailing ships as they go up and down the river.) The pedestrian bridge marks the middle of the state boundaries and many pictures are taken of people standing in Nebraska and Iowa at the same time. It is beautiful at night when it is lit up. The grounds on either side of the bridge are nice and well-kept.

This bridge was an amazing adventure for my family. Our daughter loved riding her bike across the bridge. We took pictures standing on the line between the two states. We even spent some time at the playground in Iowa after crossing the bridge and did some painting.
