“Great place for lovely walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

Great bridge for pedestrian & bike riding. You can also rent a bike under the bridge. Kids enjoy the tap fountain in the evening. We always take all of our guests for a lovely walk to this place. It is good to visit the bridge by evening so that you can have day & night view of the bridge and surrounding places too. People will never miss to take a snap on the intersection line of Nebraska & Iowa on middle of the bridge. You will have a beautiful view of the laser light show (around 8 not sure of the timing) of Lewis & Clark National Historic trail which is on the other end of bridge.

“Pedestrian bridge”

The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge is a very nice attraction to take a walk, ride a bike or get the the casino's on the other side. It has history facts as you walk along the bridge. Nice stroll. I didn't get to see it at night, but I hear the lights are awesome.

Had guests from out of town. the bridge is a neat experience to share with people from out of town, whether family, friends or business constituents. Also, nice outdoor experience and change to routine exercise.

“Fun”

My girlfriend and I actually had gone to the nearby National Park Midwest Regional Office Visitor Center of the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail located at 601 Riverfront Drive. It was October 1, the first day of the federal government shutdown. The building was closed. So we walked over to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. We spent about an hour walking the complete span of the bridge while taking pictures. It was a beautiful walk. The best pictures we took were of us standing with one foot in Nebraska and the other foot in Iowa. There is a line on the bridge clearly marking the stateline between Nebraska and Iowa. Fortunately, the weather was about 60 degrees with a clear sky when we visited the bridge. We had a good time, despite the nonsense going on in Washington, D.C. regarding the federal shutdown fiasco.

My 4 year old got a kick out of going to Iowa by himself while I stayed in Nebraska. Nice scenic views. Great pedestrian bridge. Nice place to take photos. A Must See when in Omaha!
