It was particularly enjoyable to view the swollen mighty Mo in the summer of 2011. Anytime tho is 3/4 mile hike with awesome views of the Omaha river landscape, Parking is available & try Rick's Boatyard or a Dixie Land Cruise on the Bellevue Queen.

Finally something Omaha and Council Bluffs did that makes sense. Love the walk over the river.

Seeing the river, always moving, changing is cool. The architecture is also interesting. Not a lot of parking, but you will probably find something. Bus does go there.

Although it looks nice, it's pretty anticlimatic. It connects to a point in Iowa where there is nothing and in Nebraska, away from most other attractions.

If you are looking for a little exercise, good views and a peaceful experience take a walk on the Bob Kerrey Bridge. I was doubtful this was going to be worthwhile when it was in the planning stages, and now I am a huge proponent...taking visitor to Omaha there as one of the must-see landmarks. It is well-lighted, comfortably wide and traveled by families, as well as the old and young. I have biked the bridge and that is neat too, but be careful not to hit anyone, as sometimes it is crowded.
