“Disgusting -- Don't Waste Your Money”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2014

I took the fireworks cruise on July 3rd to celebrate a friend’s 60th birthday and was shocked at what I experienced! At one point I was even afraid for my safety! The staff on the boat consisted of an elderly captain, one “first mate” and two bartenders (one male, one female). The nightmare started when we first boarded and found it so crowded we could not find empty seats; all five in our group stood the entire cruise, which lasted over three hours. The lower deck was enclosed, making it very hot, unlike the upper deck, which was open. There was no monitoring alcohol intake and MANY people became “falling-down” drunk. People were literally knocking over chairs and garbage cans and falling down steps. Excessive profanity was prominent. The bathrooms had no lights or running water in the sinks. A young couple even used one of them to have sex. There were spilled drinks on the tables and vomit on the lower deck. It was absolutely DISGUSTING!! By the end of the cruise a fight broke out between inebriated guests on the lower deck. During the brawl, tables, chairs and people were knocked over. At this point I felt afraid for my safety because there was absolutely no security on the boat. The young female bartender tried to break up the fight. I never did see the “first mate” during this brawl. There was absolutely no security around and there was nowhere for innocent bystanders to go for safety. Watching these people get into their vehicles afterwards and head out to the roadways in their conditions was the kicker! This was truly a danger to others, many which were headed home from the ballpark with their families! This irresponsible, poorly-managed business is clearly in violation of over-serving alcohol, unsanitary conditions, unsafe environment, over-selling tickets and putting the rest of the community in danger by releasing extremely drunk people to drive! I am working on getting my money back from this nightmare of a “cruise” and do not recommend it to anyone.

“1 hour group tour was so,so”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2014

We rented the boat for a business group tour with "food" and bar provided. Staff were attentive and nice but this attraction could have so much more potential. Very little information about the history of the river or anything was shared. no info on wildlife, nada. Ride is short and viewscape is underwhelming. Food served was sub par at best. All the worst processed American food you could put in your body. Nothing fresh. Would not recommend for a business function unless you want a place for people to sit a dink for an hour. This was not my cup of tea.

“Sightseeing tour just okay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We took the hour-long sightseeing tour, arriving the required 30 minutes early for boarding. These have limited availability, so you'll have to plan ahead if you want to do it. We reserved online and had no trouble picking up our tickets. They have some snacks on board, and the kids can go visit the captain and maybe blow the horn. They gave some history of Lewis and Clark but no information on passing landmarks. After the narration, they played period music. The view is okay but not breathtaking. Maybe an event would be more impressive. Oh, and I didn't care for the clunking noise the paddles made. I've been on other paddleboats and have never heard a noise like that.

“Great sightseeing trip!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013

We really enjoyed our sightseeing cruise on the riverboat! The weather was perfect for a trip down the river and we really enjoyed the view! A DNR person was aboard and told us about the history of Lewis & Clark's journey through the area. It was very hard to hear her, however. I would have enjoyed more light music playing with the occassional mention of landmarks. There were some landmarks we were interested in knowing more about, but they were not mentioned during the tour.

“Fireworks cruise 2013”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Just went on the Fireworks Cruise last Wednesday, July 3, 2013. We had a really good time. For $30.00 per person, very reasonable entertainment. We cruised up and down the river, seeing the sights while listening to music provided by a DJ. We did have to "cruise" a few more times than expected because we were waiting for the baseball tournament to finish up before the fireworks. Once the fireworks started, they were non-stop and very good. At this point, the captain was just letting the boat float. We had the best seats in Omaha. Very highly recommend for people to do this!!!
