“Wonderful hotel, the best place to stay in Omaha.”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

The staff at check in were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is very modern, which I usually don't like, but it is so amazingly well-done. The rooms are extremely comfortable and very clean, with a full kitchen including microwave, dishwasher, stove, toaster, and utensils. I appreciate the recycling bins and green effort. Free Wi-fi, but there is a charge for parking (not surprising in downtown area). There is a very nice grocery store right across the parking lot. My only complaint is they need to increase the shower pressure, but everything else is wonderful. This will be the only place I stay in Omaha from now on.

VERY quiet (if you ask for a room that doesn't face Dodge St!) Nice size kitchen with modern appliances. Full sized desk and hookups for any kind of media device you might have. If you need specific cables - just ask the front desk! Very modern bathroom with raised sink and "super" shower! Very comfortable beds with European bedding. This is a green facility as well!
Nice complimentary breakfast. A neighborhood grocery store is attached to the hotel - very convenient. There's an $8 overnight parking fee, but worth it to have our car in a safe, covered spot. Front desk extremely helpful when we needed more ice (no ice machines so he got us a bucketful from the kitchen). Very close to restaurants and to the airport. Will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor, end of hallway room away from Dodge for a quiet night's sleep

Getting to the hotel was a bit tricky (coming from the Missouri River). Traveling west on Dodge, the Element is on the left. Look for the a sign on the right (to turn right) in order to get to the hotel. Once settled in, take advantage of the neighboring shops, restaurants, and the wonderful small grocery store (located on the upper garage level). For the grocery store, exit the hotel and head towards the parking garage. Take the elevator up to the upper level. You won't be disappointed. The hotel itself is wonderful. The hotel is well thought out. You can't get any greener. The rooms are sleek, open and nicely laid out. I would give it five stars, but the room could have been cleaner. Besides that, the suite was positively unforgettable.

Room Tip: The executive suite is worth its weight in gold. There is a Mexican restaurant across the circle fr...

The Element Hotel, part of the Westin chain, was a great place to stay for our annual 4 day visit. We got a great price on a corner executive one bedroom suite. It had a workable kitchenette and table for four (very handy as we "rescued" elderly family from assisted living for a few meals). The rooms were clean, well maintained, internet free & fast.
The staff was outstanding. They provided extra dishes & glasses. I was quite impressed and will stay here every time.
Midtown Crossing is a new urban-lite constructed community within the sprawl of Omaha. Its a short drive from downtown and right next to the large Mutual of Omaha campus. It is clearly a work in progress. Three apartment buildings of varied occupancy. A nice central green space. Three restaurant and more to come. There is also a grocery store and a few stores. Everything is spotless clean and very quiet. Coming from New York City it seemed both welcoming, planned and a little strange from my perspective.

Right on Dodge, you could drive right by and not realize that it was a hotel. No glaring neon light to direct you in, but it couldn't be easier and more convenient. We were there with two kids and it fit us to a tee. Wii in the lobby, just check it out. Great breakfast. Near a lot of new, great resturants. Midtown! Who woulda thought that the old park are could be this neat?
I t did say that it had a pool on the web site---it doesn't!

Room Tip: Ask for extrea pillow, blankets, they are not stocked in the room

Our stay at this hotel was quite nice. The rooms were clean and we liked it had a separate bedroom and a full kitchen. We had, however, reserved a room with two queens. We got a bed with a single queen. We used the pull our couch, but had to request a sheet, pillows, and blankets. The front desk clerk had to find a pillow. He never showed or called to say he couldn't find one. We ended up sharing the ones on our one bed. Housekeeping didn't put toilet paper in the room when they cleaned. We had to request it and wait over an hour and a half with three phone calls to get someone to find some for us. Breakfast was good day one, but they ran out of food on day two. If breakfast is complimentary, they should know how much to prepare. I understand there were items that requires cooking, but they should have been cooking it before they ran out! Even things that didn't require preparation such as fruit and bread ran out and stayed out the entire time we were down there. We left breakfast hungry that day! Overall good value for the money, but cook your own breakfast or eat theirs early! Take your own toilet paper! Oh, and the grocery store closes super early. That isn't the hotel's fault, but we found that to be annoying and inconvienent!

This 'near' inner city hotel, right on Dodge street is priceless.
Breakfast offer such a variety, only to be outdone by the 'happy hour/feast'
4-6pm, once or twice a week. Designed for business traveler, I found
it excellent for the NCAA College World Series baseball games.
The shuttle and the free use of 18 speed bicycle(s), of which this hotel
had two, was to me the top treat.
Whoever designed this concept is saving energy, $$ and bank-rolling the rest.

Room Tip: Pick your weekend or weekday and they offer discounted $$ rates on Orbitz or Priceline. I scored o...
