My wife and I could't find a parking spot in the Old Market on a rainy, Saturday night. We found one right in front of the Boiler Room. It was a damp night and Nebraska was playing, so we got in without a reservation. The maitre d was pleasant and helpful.

The atmosphere is quite enchanting. It is a blend of pre-prohibition decor and new industrial architecture. It was quiet as well which is nice if you want to talk.

The service was impeccable. The waiter was very helpful and professional.

The food was very good and well presented. I had salmon and my wife had steak. Both were excellent. The menu is a bit complicated and most of the dishes are pretty eclectic. They have a large selection of wine and cocktails.

This is not an inexpensive place to eat, but because of the atmosphere, service, and quality of food -- the value is still pretty good.

“Excellent dining experience - but bring your wallet”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Wonderful food, excellent service. This was a great dining experience. We really enjoyed all aspects of it, but make sure you are ready for the prices.

At our table one person had lamb chops (excellent) two had fish (very good) and one had the sliced beef (excellent). We had a bottle of wine and a cheese tray to start things off. The waitress was very helpful in selecting the cheeses and was right on in her recommendations.

I would highly this for special occasions.

“owner in the kitchen”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

The Boiler Room in Omaha is a very good restaurant. I would award stars as follows:
Atmosphere : 5
Food: 4 , could be a 5, but one of our steaks was well done - like shoe leather - mine was rare just like ordered and excellent. The food quality is top notch.
Bar Service: 3 , on crowded night they need more than one bartender.
Wait Service: not rated as our waiter was so snobby and rude that our evening was ruined. He was fired as a result. I think he was the only bad waiter, so give them a try.
Wine list: extensive in French and Italian wines - great for Europeans, but for American wine lovers not so good.

“Boiler Room..Not What you Expect Delicious and Beautiful”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

This renovated 2 story " boiler room" was spectacular to look at and had indescribably delicious "farm to table" food with the menu changing daily. The ambiance was perfect for a business dinner or a romantic night out. The wait staff helpful and accommodating, not complaining when we asked after our appetizer was served to be split on two separate dishes. Even though there were meat and vegetarian choices, surprising in this "heartland " restaurant there were many fish choices too..all caught and served within 24 hours! If you have one night to eat out in Omaha, I said go to the Boiler Room.

“Unique upscale restaurant in downtown Omaha”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

I visited an evening with a group from work and one of the locals took us to The Boiler Room. It is in a basement and has decor like a boiler room. The food is unique and upscale (more than I would spend with my money). The service was exceptional and they really take care of you there. If you like an upscale restaurant and are willing to accept a decor that is not fancy, you will like this restaurant.
