“Dinner & Breakfast, Good Eats!”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

The menu has good choices and they feature local wines. Dinner can be spendy, but doesn't have to be. Also, the service is slow, but it goes with the experience.

I had a grilled chicken salad which was basic, but good 10.99
and he had a massive bacon cheese burger with a baked potato 10.49. We both drink water so that we don't fill up on watered down ice tea or soda.

For breakfast I had pancakes and eggs and he had the french toast with scrambled eggs. The pancakes left me stuffed for the entire day and I did not even eat both of them!! Both breakfasts were 6.99 with coffee extra.

Not a bad place to eat!!

“Favourite place I stayed in America”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

We stayed here because of it's closeness to Lassen Volcanic National Park and it was 100% the best choice we could have made! The location was perfect, only a 10 minute drove to the NP.The room we stayed in was spacious, the shower was phenomenal! Powerful and hot, appreciated after a long, sweaty day trekking through a national park!
We weren't sure we would make it for dinner after coming back from the NP, the restaurant door said it closed at 7pm, and we had turned up at 6:50pm. The lovely ladies inside sat us down, and fed us a great meal! The hand whipped milkshakes were out of this world. We also had breakfast, and it was just as good :)
Stay here! It's the best!

“Face it, you're stuck”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

We ate here two nights in a row because there were no other options within 25 miles. When we stayed safe (steak, burgers), food was fine; when we didn't, it was not (ribs were undoubtedly the worst I ever had, badly overcooked with a lousy bbque sauce). Baked bean side was out of a can - tasted like Heinz the first night and B & M the second. Service friendly but slow with almost nobody there, and I imagine absurdly long wait times when and if it gets crowded.

“Amazing restaurant on top of a nice hotel”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

We had breakfast here and it was very good. The staff was very pleasant and helped us plan the day and also packed a very nice to-go veggie burgers on special request.
We tried cappuccino and it was pretty good. So was the veggie burger...

“Fresh food, friendly service”
Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

After a long day at Lassen Volcanic National Park, we didn't want to drive far for dinner. Ended up at Lassen Mineral Lodge late - around 7:00 pm. They had a bit of a late dinner rush with the dining room having several full tables and people seated outside on the patio. Our server was friendly and the food was very good, although not speedy, which was okay -- we were on vacation! We split a buffalo burger which came perfectly medium well and on a nice rustic, toasted bun. The fries were hot, a good sized portion and not at all greasy. The salad was a typical house salad - nothing fancy, but very fresh and crisp. The ice teas were perfect - neither too strong or weak and the server kept them filled. Yes, the decor is a little tired and the cowboy mannequin at the front door needs to be donated to some obscure western museum, but overall it was a great way to end a very good day.
