“A perfect family break”
Reviewed September 29, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a wonderful week staying here - 3 adult couples (dad/stepmum, adult kids and respective girlfriends/boyfriends), baby granddaughter and our dog. The house was absolutely perfect - so spacious, beautifully decorated, plenty of equipment to make the stay comfortable and the pool, barbecue and outdoor areas were amazing for relaxing. The interior design needs a shout out - the owners have serious style - we loved the top notch furniture, the styling, the Jo Malone scent - everything!

The owners were helpful in every way, on hand if we needed them, but allowing us space to relax. They even helped us organise a vet trip for our dog to get his passport stamped for the journey home which made life really easy.

The local carrefour was useful for all food/beer/wine supplies. We enjoyed looking around the market in Plan de la Tour and ventured further afield for days out in Port Grimaud and Monaco (both well worth the drive out). The wine from the vineyard itself was an absolute dream - we all fell in love with it and bought home as much as we could fit in our cars!

Thank you to Julie-Anne and David for being excellent hosts, really helpful and friendly and totally laid back which made it completely relaxing.

“Just one word....Perfect!”
Reviewed September 27, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The title says it all. We cannot say enough positive things about our two week holiday with extended family and despite that we don't normally return to the same place, we are already talking about our next visit.
Our daughter was 1 year 8 months when we visited and it was just what we were looking for. The house, garden and pool area was very safe for her. The location is great - we loved the village and all the surrounding area.
Julie and David were great hosts who, whilst being very helpful and on hand, respected our privacy.
Please feel free to PM me with any questions. I will be only too happy to help and recommend this wonderful property.

“Incredible Villa in a Picturesque Setting”
Reviewed June 27, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Just returned home from staying here for the week as a group of 6 adults. From the second we arrived to the day we left, the whole experience was perfect. David and Julie-Ann we great hosts, the villa itself was out of this world with two seperate buildings meaning we have privacy away from the other 4. The swimming pool was a perfect temperature to cool down from the great weather. The local area was great with St Maxime and St Tropez both within 25 mins by car. The village itself is fantastic with a few quaint restaurant and bars - just perfect food and 15 mins walk away. Would love to return and wouldn't certainly go here again if in the area. Thanks for a great holiday!!!

“A truly relaxing environment”
Reviewed June 21, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

There is a Wow factor about this property as soon as you walk in. The house iitself is really lovely and decorated in earthy tones. Every comfort is on offer and the beds are super comfortable which is not always the case in holiday homes. The gardens are a delight and are beautifully tended with lots of lavendar and oleander bushes. The greatest delight are the three seating areas starting with the breakfast area near the quite stunning pool and moving on to a pretty courtyard covered in vines which is lovely for an apero and then moving on to the dinner venue which quite frankly is fiive star sitting amongst the vines. Julie- Anne and David were extremely welcoming and helpful and lots of fun. In fact we have already booked for next summer.

“Extremely well presented property with great hosts at excellent value”
Reviewed June 7, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Having never written a review before we felt compelled to comment on our stay at La Bastide. We have stayed at many villas on our holidays. But non of them even begin to compare with this well appointed, excellent value for money property. Our hosts Julie and David ensured that we were made to feel very welcome. Our 8yr old son was well catered for with the large quaintly of toys provided for him, and Julie's twin sons who are the same age as our son played in the large grounds, with us in the safe knowledge he was well looked after. Our 12yr old daughter loved the pool, and when they had both had too much sun, they were able to flake out and watch NETFLICKS on the very large TV.
Julie has decorated the villa beautifully. Giving it that home from home feel, with that extra smart touch. I did feel that the security deposit asked for was a little on the high side, but once we arrived and saw the interior decorations I could understand the high value. Don't worry about forgetting your favorite book, as there are more novels to hand than a small town library. The kitchen has every convenience imaginable, including an NESPRESSO coffee maker.
Plan de la Tour has a small shop, a hand full of restaurants, and the chance to purchase local wines.
We have all agreed that this was the best family holiday we've ever had, Julie and David have thought of everything, even down to Fly the friendly family black Labrador calling in to say hello.
We are currently trying to book a return holiday, so don't you all book it up.

“secluded tranquil property with wonderful views”
Reviewed June 5, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Second time we have been to this property,
It is perfect for a French break. The ambience and general facilities are all you could wish for. There was a brief issue with the plumbing, this was rapidly corrected by the owners who live next door.
I must make a special mention of Julieanne and David who could not do more to make our holiday the best.
The position of Plan de la tour is just right for visiting local towns and beaches. St Maxime is only 15 minutes away.
Please note that the roads at certain times of day are very busy. Don't bother to drive to St Tropez unless very early in the morning , otherwise use ferry from St Maxime .

“Fantastic villa, wonderful hosts”
Reviewed April 14, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Just returned from a one week stay over Easter with our 2 children (8 & 10). The location and villa exceeded our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble for Julie-Anne and David. They clearly care about their guests and go that extra mile. This made for an extremely relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The villa is full of character, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We visited the other villa next door (the Stone House) which is also delightful. The location just outside the village of Plan de la Tour is peaceful yet it's an easy drive to the bigger towns of St Maxime, Grimaud or St Tropez slightly further afield. We explored the stunning coastline around Croix Valmer and found that everywhere we wanted to go was within easy reach. The weather was good (between 17-22 degrees in the day but cool at night) and we were in the heated pool every day. Aside from the attractive pool area there are plenty of places to eat and relax outside and an excellent BBQ.

A really lovely set up, we couldn't have asked for more. We have booked to return later this year with extended family in tow!
