We've come here several times both in and off season this year, and have never been disappointed! Now in October the menu was completely different than in summer and the waitress told us that they will have a new one again in November. One of the few restaurants in L'Isle where the cook is creative! The tables outside by the river are sort of elegantly set with beige table cloths (not plastic like most other places here) and the light is pleasantly bright, so we could see our nicely arranged food on the plate. We had a tarte of caramelized onion confit and fish terrine for appetizers, and grilled filet of dorade on mushroom risotto for main course - all fabulous, and for the same prices as the other places in town. We'll be back!

My wife and I had lunch here on Sept. 20th. The setting is beautiful, right next to the river. Service was excellent. Both servers spoke English and English menus were available. My wife had the 2 plate set lunch (main and dessert), which was a roast pork with mashed potatoes and a delicious ratatouille. I ordered a la carte and had the house made pate. I ordered in as the main, and it came in two slices, which was too much too eat. It was excellent, as was the lemon/orange relish and small side of greens that came with it, but I'd recommend ordering the starter size, which comes with one large slice instead of two. My wife's dessert was a pineapple coupe, which was crushed fresh pineapple with scoop of coconut ice cream. Cool and delicious. Other desserts we saw delivered looked terrific, with lots of spun sugar accompanying the selection. A very relaxing lunch, next to a scenic river, with ducks as company.

We decided to visit L'isle sur la Sorgue on our last day in Provence before travelling back to Marseille Airport. The town itself is very attractive and filled with many restaurants that are located either in the square or around the river that meambles through the town. Appears to be known for its antique and art shops.
We decided on La Balade after having looked at various options - we were not disappointed. Offered a table adjacent to the river and whilst sunny and very warm protected by large umbrellas!
Restaurant offers table d'hote and A la carte. I went for the table d'hote option and had superb goose pate for starter and lamb gigot for mains. My wife had same starter but as she had choosen A la carte option, she had two slices of pate, served with warm bread and the most fantastic marmalade chutney!
One of these restaurants where you could have stayed all afternoon and watched the world pass by.
Service excellent and friendly. Would highly recommend and will be on our list next time we come back to Provence.

For our penultimate night in Provence we wanted to have a special meal to end the week on a high. Well we certainly did at La Balade des Saveurs. To start with, some of the waitresses spoke impeccable english which was helpful to thos ein our group that didnt understand a lot of french. We opted for the "Menu des Saveurs" and a friend went for the "Menu de Balade" - the food in both of them was so delicious! We had the foie gras and the gigot d'agneau - if this available when you go there, make sure you order it! One of our friends, who ordered the sea bass (and who is quite choosy when it comes to the level of cooked-ness of her fish) made a comment to the waitress saying that she felt the fish was overdone (this was before she ate it). The waitress apologised, went to speak to the chef who offered to cook it for her again, however, by the time the waitress came back ( a few seconds) our friend had tasted the fish and was embarrassed to have commented as it was still so good! We had such a good time we cannot recommend it enough!

My partner and I had a delicious meal here on our first night in the area having had it booked by our hosts and we were not disappointed. We had the set menu and enjoyed such delights as melon soup, guinea fowl, dauphinose potatoes and creme brulee accompanied by some nice beer and wine. Very good service as well as a beautiful view!
