This was our fourth visit, so we are accustomed to the set menu, and brace ourselves a bit. Both the starter and main course were fish; monkfishe wrapped in bacon, on a bed of white beans. The main course was perfectly smoked cod, with roasted carrot, cauliflower, beet and a lovely garlic mayonnaise to rub on everything. Dessert was baba rhum, with roasted pineapple. If given the choice, we would have ordered none of the three, but enjoyed all. The garden setting has both sunny and shady spaces. It is truly magical. It is fun to see many generations of families-and their dogs-having Sunday lunch.
