My wife and I have just returned from our Honeymoon in France. Trip Advisor was a great tool and la Maison Poynder was a great find. Jenny made us feel like family with great breakfasts, good advice, and personal touches I'd expect from a favorite aunt (not a hotelier). The classic provencal house has been expertly modernized and decorated. Our bed and bedroom were the best we had in France. The bathroom was larger than most Paris hotel rooms, with a large tub looking out over the elegant back yard and pool. L'Isle sur la Sorgue is a wonderful starting spot for day trips in Provence, and a comfortable place to return for a glass of local wine ("17," trust me), perhaps a Michelin dinner (la Vivier), or simply Provencal pizza at a street cafe. And, of course, Provence is special. Gordes, Senanque, San Remy, and Aix are all next door. Avignon is also close (worth a half-day) and the Pont du Gard is just beyond.
Provence was a good second-site for our trip to France, a good contrast to the haute city of Paris. If you go (the TGV alone is a good experience for Americans), we strongly recommend a stay with Jenny in her home, la Maison Poynder.

Our short stay in La Maison Poynder was very pleasant and enjoyable. Jenny was a lovely host and very helpful in recommending some great places to visit and dine.
This B&B is in a great location, within 5 min walking distance to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue itself, and situated very centrally to explore the nearby villages and tourist sites within the surrounding region. Breakfast was nicely varied and generous. The overall guest house facilities are very spacious and comfortable....the outdoor pool was particularly enjoyable after a hot day of sight-seeing.

Our group of 9 just returned from a great stay at La Maison Poynder. Jenny is a terrific host, and the house was a great location for our travels throughout Provence. A highlight at the end of each warm day was to return to the pool and the lovely backyard. Many great evenings were spent reliving our experiences of the day and eating cheese, fruit and drinking great wines. The house was spacious and outfitted with all we needed. A fantastic time was had by all. Thanks Jenny!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at Maison Poynder with Jenny. She was such a gracious host and we loved her extended furry family. Jenny was able to suggest great local attractions and provided us with everything we needed. The accommodation was very comfortable and the furnishings very tasteful. We would recommend this to anyone travelling through LÍsle sur la Sorgue.

Room Tip: The Green room had a fabulous view of the garden and was beautifully appointed.

My fiance and I stayed with Jenny for three days during our trip through Southern France. This was by far the best stop on our trip! Jenny is a phenomenal host and makes you feel right at home from the second you walk through the door. The house is wonderful, with tons of charm and a beautiful courtyard and pool. It is also an EASY walk (5 minutes tops) to all the town has to offer! Each morning we had a private breakfast in the dining room before we set off on our adventure for the day. When we returned, we were greeted by a cozy place to sleep that felt just like home. Jenny is not only a wonderful host, but she doubles as a tour guide and will be happy to offer you tons of recommendations for "off the beaten path" day trips.

Jenny, thanks so much for making me and my fiance feel right at home. We will always remember this trip and your helpfulness/generosity. We will definitely see you next time we come through L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue!!

Room Tip: Try and pick a room towards the back of the house -- courtyard view/ garden view is the way to go!
