We had a great stay at this hotel. It is very clean and the staff are extremely helpful. There are restaurants and pubs just across the street or down the block and Boulder City is a charming little town. Breakfast at the hotel is wonderful! Highly recommend this over the Vegas scene!

We stayed here for 1 night. The room and bathroom were a little small but it is a historical building so that's why. There was a problem with the air conditioner, in the middle of the night, it started shooting out ice??? When I checked out, I told the front desk about it. They said it was something with the compressor?? It was very clean and had everything that we needed. Love the history.

You won't be disappointed! We only stayed for one night which was a real shame. The Hotel itself have a colonial feel to it. Parking is easy - right beside the hotel, though I think it is a public car park. The reception area is large, high ceilinged and wood panelled with a grand piano, leather arm chairs and sofas. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Our rooms were charming and elegant with dark wood furniture and big puffy duvets and pillows. We had interconnecting rooms - which worked great with the children. Our room was a little small, the children's room was huge. There was free wifi and I think an area with free use of laptops. We dined out in the evening at a pizza place round the corner - which was disappointing . We should have gone to the restaurant on the corner over the road! Breakfast was possibly the best one on our 3 week roadtrip. Served in a grand dining room, and included in our room price. It was stupendous - a feast which we will talk about for years! The hotel is lovely, but even if it wasn't up to its high standard - it would be worth staying here just for the breakfast!

After 3 nights of luxury Las Vegas convention hotel, the Boulder Dam Hotel was literally a breath of fresh air. The small town quiet cleared the noisy convention hall and gambling casino din from my ears. Comfortable room and bed, hot shower. Full breakfast table service with good humor. Do arrive early enough in the afternoon or stay till mid-morning to spend an hour at the small museum inside the hotel--check their web site, think it closed at 5pm and opened at 10am. The Boulder Dam Hotel is definitely worth a stop on your vacation!

We were looking for a place to stay prior to going to Las Vegas for a couple of nights. This place was a find you are staying in Boulder History and thankfully they have kept the decor original to fit in with the gorgeous building.

Boulder itself is a small town but is very quaint but has an ideal location for visting the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead or visiting the western rim of the grand canyon (2 hr 30 minutes drive - much closer than the southern rim), check out Milos cafe/wine bar on the main street for great sandwiches!

More on the hotel - great breakfast there are a lot of choices already included in the room rate including the 'Dam big Breakfast' which comes on two plates ie. eggs, bacon/sausage and potatoes and then two big pancakes on their own plate!! Also for $2 extra you can have steak and eggs with potatoes! The Boulder Museum is also located in the hotel on the first floor (rooms on second) and is more than worth a visit (admission is free when staying at the hotel). Room was great with a double bed and a good aircon unit, room was very clean.

We have now stayed here a few times and feel this place really deserves a review! Boulder City itself is a fantastic quiet town with a few shops in the centre. The coffee cup cafe is great, as is Milo's restaurant for an evening meal.

To the hotel itself; The welcome is genuinely tops, we were (and have been before) checked in by Sandy (a bubbly red-head!) who is a genuine asset to the hotel, always genuinely pleasant and accommodating and great to talk to. The best room in the hotel (imo) is 224, a suite, although not much more than a normal room is, because of its location in the hotel, pretty much a detached room, so if you like a quiet room at night it's definitely worth going for this one! Although you can't see from the pics, there are 2 tv's in the room, kitchen area and a large (and disabled equipped) bathroom.
Just be a bit careful of cheaper rooms, although fine some have thin adjoining doors.. fine if you don't mind other people's noise, but just thought I'd mention..
Free parking and free internet via a business centre or wifi is also useful.

Breakfast has been upgraded since our last visit and is now comprehensive and of good quality.
Boulder to walk around at night we feel is 100% safe and an excellent place to relax.

Well placed for getting to Vegas airport without staying in horrible Vegas itself. Room was Ok - no plates or cutlery really which is surprising as it has microwave etc. Handy hot Hoover Dam (beware of traffic jams).
