“Delightful stay”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

We stayed here on a trip to the Hoover Dam and found the hotel to be above our expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lobby was lovely and the restaurant excellent. The breakfast was delicious and the service was so friendly. The best surprise was the museum in the hotel!! Due to the National Park closure we couldn't get into the tour of the Hoover Dam but learned everything we wanted to know from the museum. It was so well done!

We had an overnight stay in this beautiful historic hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful with lots of ideas of places to eat and giving you a general history of the area.
Our room was a King Suite, which was both spacious and welcoming, the hotel is kept to the highest of standards in both comfort and cleanliness. There is a delightful restaurant on site which serves a lovely breakfast which is included it the room rate. This was our second visit to this hotel and would be our 'go to' place any other time we visit the area.

Historic hotel right downtown is run by the Boulder City Museum. The room we had was small but clean. Reasonably priced. No fridge or microwave (it is a historical building after all). There is a lovely restaurant in the hotel. Staff very helpful. Take the time to wander around the city, lots of historic buildings, restaurants and antique shops.

Charming, quaint, clean, great location. We used this as a stop between L.A. and the Grand Canyon and glad we did. Since we weren't really into the whole Las Vegas scene, this worked perfectly for us, and even allowed us a quick trip to the Hoover Dam which was amazing.
The location was great, too, affording us an easy walk to a couple of nice restaurants and even a wine cafe.

We stayed here twice in the same week once heading out to see the GC and Hoover Dam and on the return flight out 2 different rooms I'd suggest the Art Decco room 223 it's pretty neat after all Howard Hughes stayed here! Beds are very firm not too comfortable tho! very quiet rooms listen for the church bells in the morning. A Very good breakfast and the Museum was well worth seeing. This town is really neat with some real nice shops and antique stores. Hotel Staff were accommodating as well I'd stay again! don't keep your expectations too high understand it is an older Hotel then you'll be fine!

We planned our night here just as a stopover for a tour at Hoover Dam. We took two rooms since there were 5 of us. We got there late in the evening and left early for our tour. It was a great location, clean and historical.

Room Tip: I noticed some rooms along the hallway had plaques noting some type of furniture restoration. I did...

The Boulder Dam Hotel was probably one of the best surprises we had on our road trip from est to west. Very nice and helpful staff (The front desk was manned at midnight and I got to buy water from a very friendly clerk). The Museum in the Hotel was a nice compliment to the stay. The rooms were somewhat small but they looked like authentic historic rooms. The complimentary breakfast was simple but good. If you're staying in Boulder City, you should by all means look at the antique shops, which are some of the best I've ever seen.
