Stopped in here for lunch after visiting the Hoover Dam. We thought it would be nice to patronize the local spots rather than the chains out closer to the highway. Apparently, we should not have bothered. The sign said "seat yourself", so we sat at the other table outside that wasn't piled up with dirty plates and such. Our table only had the remains of the previous visitors who had managed to get drinks and bread before they bailed. We sat down and proceeded to watch the waitress chat with her friends a few tables away for about 10 minutes. We finally decided that this probably wasn't going to be the place for us, and headed down the street... Like I mentioned, only go here if you want to be ignored...

Truly wonderful selection of wine and the special when I was there, a Cuban press sandwich, was delicious if not particularly authentic. The atmosphere is very nice. It is clear that Milo [and there really is a Milo] took great pains in designing this lovely little wine bar/cafe. I liked it so much that I was sorry I hadn't tried to book a room at Milo's guest house!

We have been coming here for the last 9 years or so and we have seen a gradual decline in both the value of the food and drink...and also the lack of service.

You can dine inside but most folks sit outside at tables & chairs on the sidewalk. It is covered. A lot of birds...so a slot of droppings on the sidewalk floor. They need to clean it off regularly, because it is nasty.

The service can be quite "cold" to non-regulars. And, it takes a lot to get someone's attention. The last couple times we had to go and get one of the waitresses to place an order. They bring the drinks...but forget the water. Or, the silverware. Or, the condiments. So, it is a long drawn out process.

The food, for many years was so good. But, just like the service, it has taken a nose dive. For the money, and especially in Boulder City, it is overpriced. We had an antipasto salad and it was small for the $.

I don't think we will be coming here on our next visit to Boulder City.

Had lunch here, the food was good but the sangria was great! Don't think they don't have tables if it is crowded, there are more tables in the back.

On your way to/from Hoover Dam, Milo's Cellar is a MUST stop to eat and/or have a drink of their spectacular wine list. Sit outside and enjoy the locals, and be sure to stop at some of the local Thrift Stores. ENJOY!
