“Wonderful for wine and lunch or a light dinner.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

While hiking at Red Rocks, my wife and I were talking to some other hikers about how much we liked visiting Boulder City. They suggested we check out Milo's if we made it back. So, we decided to make it back that evening. We were certainly not disappointed!

Milo's is absolutely perfect. They do great wine and a light meal as well as anywhere I've ever eaten. My wife asked the waiter for a suggestion on wine and he delivered. We would have ordered two bottles if we didn't have to drive back to our hotel when the meal was over.

We were both hot and tired from hiking all day, so we ordered salads for our meal. I ordered a Greek salad with a triple side of grilled chicken. The salad was Huge! I couldn't believe how much lettuce, olive, feta, etc.. they were able to fit into the bowl. The lettuce was lightly dressed with a very tasty Greek dressing which added great flavor. My wife's salad was equally large and she said it was very tasty as well.

Possibly the coolest thing about Milo's is their corkage policy. Half of the inside of the restaurant is a wine shop. You can buy any bottle in the house at the retail price and they will pour it for only $10 corkage!!! You can't beat that anywhere. There were some great selections at very reasonable prices across the wine spectrum. I would recommend a trip out to Milo's for anyone staying near Vegas who wants to get away from the tourist traps.

Also, the outdoor seating with misting fans was a major check in the 'win' column for Milo's.

“"Stop to enjoy this wonderful gem"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

After a great morning at Hoover Dam, we decided to stop in Boulder City for lunch. It was a hot 107 degrees outside but it felt like about 80 degrees at the outside table here with the pleasant misters going. We were cheerfully greeted by our waitress who expediently brought our drinks. There were some lunch specials that we tried. My daughter had a delicious lobster roll which was served with chips and a small cluster of grapes. I had a very unique dish: a stuffed green pepper served over a roll with a marinara type sauce and melted cheese, also with some chips and grapes. This was AMAZING! What a unique dish.
My husband had the Cultured Cowboy Salad. This was a beautifully prepared, large salad with spring mix and romaine and including chicken, asiago cheese, candied walnuts and pecans, bacon bits, onions and tossed in BBQ and ranch dressing. An excellent tasting salad! Our waitress kept our tea and water glasses full. What a lovely place and totally enjoyable meal. I highly recommend Milo's and we would definitely return if in the area.

“Worth a Stop!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

We drove from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam for a visit. The day was incredibly hot and everything took longer than we had thought it would. As we were leaving, we just happened to ask the woman at the gift shop if she had an recommendations for a great lunch. She recommend Milo's and said it was "stellar".

It's only a few minutes off the highway and well worth the detour. The food was excellent and the service even better. Boulder City have a block or two of interesting shops and restaurants, which is a nice change from the glitziness of Las Vegas.

Definitely worth stopping at if you're heading to Hoover Dam!

“Nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

We go to Milo's at least once on every trip to Boulder City . It's a must. Great atmosphere . Good food. Unfortunately the service is a little hit and miss. Seems like the staff want you to leave after you finished your meal and had a couple of drinks by presenting you with the bill . No offer of anything else. Must be popular with local people as lots seem to know each other.
Will go there again on our next visit.

“Milo's Cellar is awesome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

Try the cranberry salad. I ordered one for dinner -- with bread and a glass of wine -- and it was truly awesome.
I really liked Milo's so I returned the next night for a different salad. While the service wasn't quite as nice, the salad was equally extraordinarily.
