“Hoover Dam trip via Boulder City”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Stop off at Boulder City and have lunch at the micro brewery in the centre of town, Food and drink great. Lots of antique shops to visit and the town is very pretty. Boulder City use to house the workers building the Hoover Dam they obviously had very good housing as this is a lovely town. The Hoover Dam and tour are well worth the money as they really give you a feel of what it was like building the dam and the great feat of engineering it is.

“Great little museum in a lovely building”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

We went here on the way to Hoover Dam and were so glad we had. Lovely little museum. $2 entrance fee for adults. Nice exhibits, some of which are interactive for kids. Good introduction into how the workers on the dam lived. Interesting film show also (the film shown at Hoover Dam itself contains some of the same footage). Worth every cent. Boulder City itself looks very quaint and we would have liked to have been able to spend another hour or so there but were on a tight schedule.

“Quaint and a must see”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

The Hoover Dam Museum gives a nice, quick, inexpensive summary of the history of the city and the dam being built. The hotel adds to the quaint ambiance of Boulder City. Take a few hours and stroll along the streets, supporting the local businesses and the history of this town.
