This place, hidden in a small town near famous St. Paul de Vence, came highly recommended by a local. The location is truly beautiful, as the restaurant (and hotel) are in an old abbey - you eat in the ancient courtyard and can tour the old chapel and modernized buildings. It is quite a classy place, with attentive almost white-glove service. They have a reasonable 3-course Abbey menu with a few selections to pick from. The food was inventive but local, foie-gras, veal, and well cooked fish. While the diners weren't blown away by the entree or mains, the desserts were uniformly acclaimed - a large pistachio macaroon was the highlight. I would recommend this place primarily for the unique ambiance, good service, and reasonable prices. A great place for a fancy and memorable meal in the hills around Vence.
