Description: La Figuiere, proposes in summer to come to lunch on its large terrace shaded and in the calm of the tumult of the crowd. Our chef proposes a provencal and contemporary cuisine, elaborated on the spot from fresh products. Our restaurant does not offer to its clientele products frozen or vacuum kitchens. Every dish is cooked with care on request so you have to be patient because the good cooking is waiting. When the nice season is over and the days are colder, we will also welcome you with pleasure in one of our 2 As in any good restaurant, it is better to reserve your table

This is a very good restaurant. You eat in a shady terrace slightly set back from the village street, very quiet, private and relaxing. Very friendly service and food at good value.

We stayed two nights at La Figuiere and the overall experience was good, with some points to be improved.
Chambres d'hotes: We had the "Van Gogh" room at second floor. The room is nice, good size, with a new refurbished bathroom. The only problem is the extra bed. We were a group of 3 people so the 2 girls slept in the big double bedroom, I had to stay in the "extra" bed. Patrick informed me that it was a small bed, so no problem with it. It was a folded bed. The problem was the mattress which was really unconfortable. Even folded beds can have more confortable mattresses than that one!!
Building: it's awesome, a stone building with an amazing courtyard with fountain and small tables where you can sit and relax.
Restaurant: this was the negative experience. We arrived at 9pm, so quite late for the period (April) since there were only 2 tables occupied. Patrick told us that we could have dinner but only one plate per person. So we took a "main dish" (salmon for my friends, canard-duck for me). The total was 71 euros for 3 dishes, 2 glasses of wine and 2 desserts. Really too high. Mostly considering that a basic menu is 23 euros and it includes starter, main dish and dessert. So we spent more eating only one dish than taking the menu (we could not, due to the time). Plus, being guests for 2 nights, I would have expected to have a small discount but Patrick is a bit stingy.
Breakfast: it was good but no possibility to choose. Patrick serves directly at the table: one croissant, fresh bread with two types of jam, coffee and orange juice. If you ask you can have more but I prefer "self service" breakfast where you can choose nad refill your dish whenever you want.
Village: Fontaine de Vaucluse in my opinion is a tourist-trap. At night it's empty (at least in April), during the day it is invaded by group of tourists which get in the village to visit the spring. The village is nice but not exactely my cup of tea, too crowded!

Overall experience was not bad but I would not go back.

Bonjour ,

Cordialement.
Patrick.

On a recommendation from our B&B host Yves and on a balmy evening we had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful meal in the garden setting of this wonderful restaurant just off the main square in Fontaine du Vaucluse. We were not disappointed with either the ambiance of this restaurant and its garden setting or with the quality of it food and wine. Excellent!

We liked the courtyard setting and the space given to each table to avoid crowding. The food and wine were very good and the service was attentive and helpful.

This is a very lovely place and most certainly recommendable. A cosy little restaurant in a side street (one of the few in the village) we were seated outside under a fig tree - hence the restaurant name. The food was extremely good, and in fact hard to chose from the menu due to the lush offers. It was cosy, quiet and the service was excellent (I would however recommend the lady waitress to loosen up a bit - came across way too grumpy!) and price wise way below my expectations so all very good.
