If you leave your do not disturb sign on the door until check out time and you are staying for more days, the staff does not clean your room. Make sure front desk knows you want it cleaned. After they clean the room, make sure they shut the door tight. Our door was left ajared.

Due to the poor economy which created an unknown occupancy at the hotel, our housekeeping staff was supplemented with some temporary employees from a local employment agency this summer. I have several housekeepers whom have worked at the Ramada Anchorage Downtown since opening in 2003. They are reliable and hardworking. Our standard policy for housekeeping is to go back and check on all rooms that were previously a DND at the end of their shift. They are to clean the rooms that no longer have a DND sign on their doors. I apologize that our normal procedure was not followed on the first day of your stay.

We needed a cheap hotel for one night with room for 5. After searching through Hotels.com we decided on this hotel because of its price and name. We knew in advance not to expect much for the price we paid. The hotel is old and plays the part well. That being said it seems to be maintained in pretty good shape. The rooms were clean and neat. The staff was awesome! The hotel is in walking distance to all the downtown stuff that tourist like to see. For us it made for easy access to shopping and movies, our prime reason for being there. Parking is tight but do able. C Street is only a block away to getting through town was easy. If you are just looking for a bed for the night this place rocks. If you are on vacation and want a nice vacation hotel, then this one is not for you. To notable things, first there is an exterior door to the park lot from your room. This is may cause some concern for security reasons. Two, The shower (at least in our room) has a serious rise to it, you feel like your head is going to hit the ceiling. Almost forgot the breakfast was really good.

Thank you for taking the time to share your stay at our hotel. The Ramada Anchorage Downtown is a value property with great staff. I am pleased that was your experience during your visit. We are fortunate to have parking in downtown Anchorage and there is additional parking along the 3rd and A street side of the building. Again, I appreciate all of your positive comments about our property.

Large, but even with all rooms sold out, it didn't feel crowded. Excellent hot/cold breakfast buffet. Free internet access computer in the lobby (one) with first come, first serve access. Easy walking access to visitor center and 4th street (ave?) shopping. Big clean rooms.

After a 14 hour day closing up house in Anchorage we were looking forward to our reserved king suite with separate sitting area and Jacuzzi tub.

What we got was a standard room with a sofa crammed into one end of the room, what.. this is the separate sitting area?? We looked for the Jacuzzi tub and after opening a side door we found a std size jetted tub NOT the Jacuzzi we wanted. The bed was a king size but was very thin the box spring was thicker than the mattress making for a bad night, which in a way turned out to be a good thing as our wake up call never arrived the bathroom sink drain stopper was stuck closed and our calls to the front desk went unresolved

If we hadn't been exhausted we would have complained and checked out. Check your room before you unpack.

We have 2 different types of suite rooms. Our larger suite rooms have corner Jacuzzi tubs. The junior suite has a standard jetted tub. Unfortunately, the newly hired reservationist didn’t know we had different tub types in the suite rooms. I am sincerely sorry that your stay was anything but pleasant. Thank you for bringing all of your issues to my attention so that we can provide better service to our guests in the future.

Firstly the pre-booked free airport shuttle was a bonus and our driver was bright and offered helpful advice on what to do/where to eat around Anchorage. She even took us for a bit of a tour enroute to the hotel. Hotel staff were polite & efficient. Room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was those trains...they sounded their horns at the level crossings ALL night long! (maybe I'm just a light sleeper) as my husband didn't seem to be too bothered by the noise. The inclusive continental style breakfast was good - well stocked and those dyo waffles were yum. Location is within walking distance of restaurants, shops etc. All in all good value with that shuttle bus provided.
