Stayed here recently on both a business and personal vacation trip. The location in downtown Anchorage is unbeatable. You are close to shops, bicycle rentals and the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Numerous restaurants are nearby. However, the hotel restaurants are excellent from the Bar to the famous Crow's Nest Restaurant at the top of the hotel which offers spectacular views of the city and bay. Decor is a bit dated but the rooms are quite spacious and the king bed very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and the front desk efficient. The hotel appears to be linked to Princess Cruise passengers and at various times the lobby and cafe were mobbed with tourists. Finally, the cost -- It was $295/night for our junior suite room. Considering we were in Anchorage and not in a major city in the lower 48, We felt the price was a bit steep. However, that would not discourage me from booking the hotel a second time.
