We ate lunch both had the salmon salad-excellent-and the restaurant is light and airy, right in downtown and the service excellent. We came back for dinner and I had risotto and my husband had perfectly moist halibut.

It simply didn't work. Reserved online, anticipated a great meal with friends only to arrive "without a reservation". Turned away without much of an apology or sympathy.

Went here for lunch on a hot Saturday afternoon. Very clean, newly painted feeling - I don't like old, shaggy places - this one had that new, open, bright, relaxing feeling. We were under some time pressure as had to join our tour bus. The lady who waited on us (can't remember the name now after 4 weeks) was very calm, pleasant, and friendly. They don't have AC although fans were on so it was a little uncomfortable for first 10 minutes when we go in from the hot sun. Food was awesome and large servings. Between us we had the veggie sandwich, the chili, and the cheese quesadillas from kids menus. Could not finish it all so they boxed it for us nicely with plastic cutlery to go.

Went at 6on a Sunday evening and it was getting busy. Service was attentive but first staff not too knowledgeable on a couple items; more experience came to the rescue and all went well. We shared a pear salad, which was good. Then two appetizers --crab cakes and salmon tempura --gave us a good variety and enough to eat. Both apps were tasty; I preferred the tempura. Cost with one iced tea came to $44.75.

Sacks was recommended by the concierge at the Captain Cook Hotel when their restaurant was booked with a private party. We were most impressed with the freshness of the seafood, most interesting dishes and variety of the menu. Wait staff was knowledgable and friendly. We think crowded and mildly noisy restaurants signal popularity, so that does not bother us.
