Restaurant recommended by our hotel. We were lucky to get a table. Food was excellent. We tried a dish with scallops which melted in your mouth. The caesar salad had a great flavor highly seasoned with garlic. My husband had the spice apple cake for dessert which is described as the best spice cake ever. Coffee was fresh and great tasting.

Asked the bell captain for dinner recommendation within walking distance of hotel, without hesitation he replied, If you like scallops, Sacks! He was right; scallops were great, apple and bacon salad was delicious, terrific house coffee and apple spice cake with caramel was best ever had. Huge wine list. Don't miss it.

Sacks is my favorite dinner place in Anchorage. Eat there every time when visiting. Great food and wine, superb service. Local salmon and halibut are my favorites.

One of the best...anywhere! This place celebrating 30 years is a gem. Salmon tempura roll. Pear salad. Grilled Sockeye. Seafood stew. Grgich Hills SB. Spiced apple cake. Everything including the service outstanding! If you only went to one restaurant in Anchorage this is the one. My batting average for recs is high.

Pleasant surprise! We had a cup of the poblano pepper/black bean soup, pulled pork tacos and chicken g'zola sandwich, w/1 hot tea. EVERYTHING was a exceedingly yummy and cost approx. $35. We were there for lunch after trying to go somewhere else that was closed for the holidays. The menu changes for lunch and dinner and on a fairly frequent basis. The bartender was waiting on the 5-6 tables that were there and provided great service! We look forward for more lunches and definitely going back for dinner. Great place for groups too!
