“Great fried chicken!”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

I'm sure I'll be back when I get homesick for Southern fried chicken! It's got a diner feel inside (vinyl chairs with wheels, small booths) but service was quick and the price was reasonable. Parking may be a bit tight at times but we had no wait for a table.

“Great tasting fried chicken to get your fried food needs fulfilled.”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

The fried chicken at Lucky Wishbone is historical, absolutely delicious. But know this, it's all about the fried chicken. When you order a basket, you get a breast, thigh, and a piece of back, yes chicken back, no wing. Wings cost extra! And, no vege's like coleslaw, salad, or green beans, those are extra. So, if you want a basket full of chicken, fries and a roll, this is the place. If you need your fried food fill and your oil level replenished, this is the place.

“Get there early for the 2 peice all white”

If you are a chicken lover (the cooked kind) you'll want to experience The Lucky Wishbone. It's been a favorite haunt for years by the locals, but even visitors like a good burger and fried chicken, too...right? If you want fancy, save your time. If you want good food (especially for lunch), try The Lucky Wishbone. You'll even get a history of Alaska avaition if you take the time to look at the memorabilia on the walls. Hey, the local police eat here, why not you? Located at the northern part of downtown, you might have to take a short cab ride to find it, unless you have access to your own transportation. Ask anyone who lives there for directions, they all know how to get there!

“It never changes-awesome, awesome, awesome”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

No matter what I have here, or when I stop in, the service is great, but the menu is greater. The wishbone definitely has its own personality! If I need a fried chicken fix, there's none better! Burgers, shakes, fries, rings, desserts...bring it on! Anyhow, I had the chicken (mom size) basket and a vanilla malt, my husband had the deluxe cheeseburger. This place never disappoints!
