A busy popular place with good fresh fish selections. Always crowded, a dependable albeit pricy meal. Great menu. Crowded tables and booths, it offers upscale evening meal and service. Perhaps not "fine" dining as compares with the lower 48 or in foreign restaurants, but for Anchorage, its location and climate, the place is far above average. You might not give it a second visit if in Seattle, but with the limited places in Anchorage, you'll go back often. It is as good if not better than the few large hotels in the city. It's pricy, but then most everything here is.

Simon and Seafort's is a great place to eat. They serve steaks, fish and have a nice bar as well. Nice place for special occasions or the whole family. It is on the pricey side but still one of my personal favs.

A friend who lives in Anchorage recommended Simon and Seafort's to us. We couldn't have been happier with his recommendation. Windows look right out toward the inlet for a fabulous view particularly at sunset (which is pretty late during the summer). The food was very tasty and we were pleased to find that they made Moscow Mules (in the copper mug) at the bar. They have a good selection of draft beers and a pretty diverse menu. We ate at the bar, so I really cannot comment on the service, etc. in the dining room.

What a fantastic find this restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska. My traveling companion and I was referred there by hotel staff. We had prime rib and king crab legs food well prepared arrived at the table before we finished our first glass of wine. Service was friendly and the food impeccable and tasty. The food is on the pricey side compared to other restaurants of this caliber but who's complaining? This culinary adventure was worth the money spent and more. Afterwards, we visited their very lively bar and had drinks with a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. Drinks were just as pricey but the ambiance makes up for the extra price of the drinks. The atmosphere in the bar was electric, exciting, and friendly. Everyone seem to be enjoying the nightlife in the bar. Don't miss this place.

Every year when we come to Anchorage we have dinner here
Reservations are advised
It is somewhat pricey but the food is consistently good.
We have eaten in both the restaurant and the bar area when seating in the main room was not ready and we were too hungry to wait.
We prefer the restaurant simply because it is less noisy and less crowded
The seats along the windows have very nice views of the inlet and you can enjoy a great sunset viewing if the weather is right
