I have been coming here for many years, and love the ambience and the history of the place. The breakfast is terrific, the service very good. The decor is...well...dated, but it is supposed to be! This is a throw back to earlier times, and it is totally enjoyable.

We like to take our family & friends from the lower 48 here to eat!! The pancakes are the size of a 10" plate!!! Everything we have ever tried at Gwennies has always been good!! We have taken a client of ours here, family & friends! Had breakfast & lunch here!! There is quite a bit on the menu when it comes to choices!!

Friendly, excellent food and LOTS of it! Great atmosphere and the wait staff was awesome. We went for breakfast and lunch throughout our trip and both times we ate, we were very pleased! Highly recommend!

We took one of our granddaughters there on her birthday. She likes Kriner's best but it was closed.

We have eaten at Qwennies off and on for years. If you are hungry for a well prepared meal, especially breakfast, then you are in for a robust one here. Qwennies quality has been pretty much consistent for decades, good to darn good.

Probably one of the best if not the best restaurant in Anchorage for a hardy meal, considering the price and quality.

Little too massive for me though. Perhaps back in the days when I was working seven eighteens. Where were you then for me Qwennie?

Portions are awesome! Best breakfast anywhere! The Bloody Mary's are to die for! My favorite meal is the scrambled eggs and diced ham with home fries extra fried, and sourdough toast with lots of jelly! And a side of biscuits and gravy which have this giant piece of bacon resting on top, kinda like dessert! It is a lot of food, don't worry about anybody going hungry, and no need for your young one getting a meal, just ask for an extra plate to share!
Oh and I know they have lunch and dinner stuff on the menu but I have never made it past breakfast!
Everybody should try this place!
