We stayed at this property twice earlier in the same trip as we traveled about on business and pleasure. We had guaranteed reservations each time. We arrived about 8:30PM one evening to check in and were told they were overbooked and did not have a room, even though we had guaranteed our reservation. The manager on duty explained that the compnay policy is to do that and that "everybody else does it." We explained how upsetting that is when we would have been charged had we not showed up.
The hotel's guarantee policy is that the customer will be satisfied or they do not pay. The manager offered to send us across the street to the Hampton Inn, also owned by Hilton. I requested and received a free room there. As we were checking in there, the lady before us had run in to the same problem with the Hilton Garden and as we were leaving the Hilton Garden to go to the Hampton Inn, another couple with family were finding out the same thing.
The rooms and service otherwise were nice, and the shuttle would take you anywhere which saves on taxis if you have not rented a car. The breakfast is a buffet, rather expensive--all you can eat even if you don't want much.
