I have been staying at this hotel for a number of years. Considering how remote the city is it is good to have a place where one knows that the the rooms will be availible , food decent and the staff willing to help.

Room Tip: Mountain view rooms have less road noise.

After arriving on a late flight we were picked up by the shuttle, which runs 24/7 on demand. The property is a short 10 minute drive from the airport.

Upon arrival the check in was quick and the staff very friendly and welcoming. This was nice because we were tired from a long day of traveling.

We stayed in a standard king room that was clean and modern. A small, but important detail, were the sufficient number of outlets available for our electronics. The bed was comfortable and featured adjustable settings for firmness. The room had a nice view of the Chugach Mountains.

The fitness center was basic, but clean.

Since we were there on Thanksgiving morning, the breakfast was basic, but complimentary. On "normal" mornings breakfast is more elaborate, and the charge is somewhere in the neighborhood of $15 per person.

The location is centralized and near numerous dining and shopping options.

Our entire staff wanted to take some time to say thank you to all of our guests, providing a complimentary breakfast on Thanksgiving meant that we could celebrate the holidays with our guests.
We definitely uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in our rooms and throughout the property, while we maintain upbeat modern styles that reflect the Alaskan experience. We are glad that you were able to get a great view of our beautiful Chugach Mountains while you enjoyed your stay with us. Many of our guests take advantage of the endless shopping and dining options that are very near us. Will definitely go back. Great experience. Knowledgeable employees. front desk was so welcoming.Wonderful people. Great breakfast and best employees. Rooms very clean. Hotel premises were updated warm and inviting.

Consistently good HGI experience. Nice hotel and friendly staff. I do wish they would make a few changes to dinner menu. Would like some low cal, low fat options. Dinner entrees are a little expensive compared to outside restaurants.

Had the Reindeer Sausage at breakfast...uniquely Alaskan. It was good...try it.

I thought this hotel was right downtown, but it is actually in mid-town. The staff were very welcoming and my room was comfortable and quiet. The view of the mountains was nothing extraordinary, but I am a spoiled Pacific North West-er with mountains all around me all the time. There is a Starbucks, Taco del Mar, TGI Fridays and some other restaurants all within one block of the hotel, plus the hotel restaurant as well which seemed to have a good menu. A taxi from the airport was about $12, though I think they also have a free shuttle as well.

I travel from Alaska to the lower 48 quite often and I always get a room in Anchorage when my flight is a red-eye or leaves before 10 AM. I have stayed here 15 times over the past 3 years. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I only have a couple small complaints. The rooms can be a little noisy from both street noise and people in the hallway. There have been times when I could not get the Government rate and my company travel people put me in the Hampton Inn or Springhill Suites. These are both nice properties but they do not have smoking rooms. The last time we could not get a Government rate I suggested the Homewood Suites. They put me up there and it was wonderful and very quiet.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. We arrived around 1am, and there was a clerk right at the desk ready to greet us. Check in was swift, friendly, and easy. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. I thought the bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was really nice and seemed relatively new. It was very quiet at night, so there were no problems sleeping. Breakfast is not included - you have a choice of paying for a la carte or a buffet.

The location was convenient to seeing the main sites that Anchorage has to offer. I would stay here again.
