We took our whole family including 3 generations on this trail. It is lovely and easy to walk. We had 2 dogs on leashes. The path is an easy hike, not hilly. The surface is a combination of very small gravel, wooden boardwalk, and nice bridges over steams, as well as asphalt in places. We encountered a black bear who was very interested in us! It was thrilling, but we had to quickly turn back the way we had come. Beautiful water, wildflowers, woodlands, wetlands, mountain views, etc... Lovely afternoon!
