Staying at the Coast International Inn is always a pleasure. The food at the restaurant was great. The sports bar had a ton of TVs with every NFL game on imaginable. My room was clean and the bathroom was recently renovated and look great!

Room Tip: Book a deluxe room with a newly renovated bathroom

The free breakfast is a rip off... you only get either two very basic items like muffin and boiled egg or if you go for alacarte the same coupon will get you 5$ off...The restaurant receptionist will ask you for coffees/juice even before you get a chance to understand the coupon, thus you lose the free coupon benefit even before you order the food.Otherwise, it has good location pretty close to the airport, good shuttle service, best if you're short on time and just want a place to crash. oh yes they dont have elevators, but its not that big a deal as they just have 2 levels.

I hate writing negative reviews, but I felt so disappointed that this one needed to be written! The Bad: 1. The Safety: Someone definitely got the snot beat out of him in the parking lot outside our window around 0200, and shady characters were chillin' in said parking lot pretty much all night. 2. Online vs. Real Life: Your photographer was worth every penny, because I couldn't believe this was the same hotel booked online!I actually had to apologize to my wife (I'm still sleeping on the couch!)!3. Complimentary Breakfast: I think I got a yogurt and a hard boiled egg or two with juice. Not continental. Not impressed. 4. The Price: I could've stayed at the Marriott for the same price...The Good: 1. Proximity to the airport: Literally can't get any closer. This is the main reason I booked this place. 2. The Staff: Front desk was actually surprisingly friendly and helpful. 3. Parking: Plenty of free parking (just watch your back). Overall, I get it this ain't the Ritz, and the location is their best selling point, but I felt like real life was very different from what I saw online. So here is your warning: Go in with low expectations and this place is just fine.

Room Tip: Don't stay near the back parking lot

The hotel is close to the Anchorage airport, and just across the street from a lake where float planes take off and land. We enjoyed watching (and listening to) the float planes.
The restaurant downstairs (Pipers) was quite good--we had both dinner and breakfast there, and enjoyed both.
Shuttle service to the airport was prompt and friendly (it is shared with "Alaska Park" next door).
One warning--there is no elevator, so be sure to request a ground-floor room if you have trouble navigating stairs.

Room Tip: Two-story hotel, with no elevator. Choose a first-floor room if stairs are a problem.

We're pleased you liked the food in our restaurant and the shuttle bus to the airport. We look forward to welcoming you back next time you are in Anchorage.

On arrival, tired after drive from Fairbanks. Checked in, no problem. Up to room and as soon as opening the door the smell of previous smoking poured out. Went straight back down to reception and they seemed shocked at the complaint as it was supposedly a non smoking room. Reluctantly and after long conversations they changed the room but even then there was a hint of smoke again.

Room Tip: Ask to see room before you check in fully, smoking seems to be a problem
