Most eateries inside museums and galleries are usually afterthoughts serving stale sandwiches or fast food and no tables. Not here. The Muse would stand out on it's own right. We had the curried chicken wrap. Wow. The food is good and if you're in the mood, the bar is stocked with a large wine inventory. This is not your typical museum cafe. Check them out.

Had a late lunch in the Muse Restaurant in the Anchorage Museum. Nice place overlooking the park. We shared Teriyaki Salmon Sandwich- it was excellent. Washed down with Alaskan Amber Ale. Very good and reasonably priced at $31 including tip. Good service.

Highly recommend

What a wonderful surprise to find this lovely cafe in the Anchorage Museum. The Museum is spectacular, and to have such a lovely lunch spot was perfect.

Muse offers a wonderful menu, with items served fresh and abundant and really pretty swiftly for the quality by service staff who seem genuinely interested in our dining pleasure. While the museum was very nice, what we will remember the most is the quality of the cafe inside the museum. This was one of the best meals we had while visiting Anchorage!

Per the Muse website, if you made reservations for the Muse, you got a code to get into the museum parking structure. Well, I had to ask, and did receive a code, but we soon found out there is no access to the garage until after 6pm (when the museum closes), so we had to park a few blocks away and walk, in the rain (didn’t bring an umbrella because I thought we’d be the the garage!). It’s a small place, wasn’t very busy....We were promptly seated. Were never offered a wine/drink list, despite the massive selection on the wall. The food menu selection is minimal, so not hard to decide. My wife had the crab and lobster roll, and I had the IPA battered cod. I tried both dishes and was very happy with the flavors...my wife did not dislike, but wasn’t impressed either. We skipped on dessert. I’m not rushing to go back, but would to try a different dish.
