The food was good. They were not kid friendly. Service was good. Kitchen and eating area were not as clean as i would like, but since Alaska is not so clean we accept the fact that places will be dirty or not as clean as we would like.

Some kind of grey mystery meat smothered by sauce in the buffet station. Ripped up ratty old seating in the booths. Can never figure out why locals flock to this place. Just plain UGH.

Can't say we know a lot about Indian food, but we know what we like. Have eaten at Bombay Deluxe at least 5-10 times, and never been disappointed. Mrs. frsbdg is stuck on the Chicken Makhni - it's so good she has no reason to try anything else. I've sampled a wider range of the menu and liked everything a lot. Last visit was the mixed grill, which included tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, some lamb kebabs, and shrimp served on a sizzling bed of onions and peppers. Kind of like a fajita platter, it was super hot and sizzled for minutes after it reached the table. We highly recommend Bombay Deluxe.

We were recently to Alaska, and after spending few days north and south Alaska, we were going to spend few final days in Anchorage. we were craving Indian food since we left home. So, we decided to give Bombay Deluxe a chance. I will have to say it was really awesome that we went there and had nice dinner. We had tomato soup which was really tasty, then we had Paneer in entree which was the best paneer , fresh and soft. That really made our day. everything on the menu was so good. We decided to go there the next day also for a quick soup and appetizers before leaving for our flights. and, there were lot of people also who come there. I like it when restaurants are kind of full with people. Only complain is that we asked for some onion on the side , they charged us for that also. Usually, it is not charged at most of places. They serve you complimentary with your food. If, I lived in Alaska, i would surely eat there once a week.

The oldest Indian restaurant in Anchorage. They have a reasonably priced lunch buffet.
