Museum had many interesting displays. The short videos were informative and gave me a chance to sit down. My favorite displays were of the clothing and artifacts of the native Alaskan tribes. The planetarium show on the Northern Lights was nice to see, especially if you don't get to see them in person.

Most certainly a great place to visit to get a feel for Alaskan history and geography. I only sent a couple of hours there, but there was much more I could have seen had I the time to do so.

Two levels of creatively displayed artifacts from native Alaskan cultures. The docent does a nice job of explaining the different tribes and where they come from. There are short videos to watch on a various aspects of Alaskan living.

Excellent area for kids . Interesting cultural history area . One big down fall security approached a lady about a backpack looked like a purse to me but at the same time a guy walked by with a huge hiking type backpack . This woman was furious as she should have been . It looked as if she complained to the museum staff as she should have , security gave the impression they didn't like "tourist " . Well , isn't that too bad you work at a museum . I hope they take care of that situation it was awkward to say the least .
