This is a crowded restaurant with a dive-bar ambiance, my type of place. Prices are very reasonable, given the high quality. We are on an extended RV trip through the US, Canada and Alaska and I make it a point to sample the fish and especially fish and chips wherever we stay. I didn't start out our trip liking halibut but now I am a big fan. We arrived during dinner hour and had to wait a while, grabbing the first available seats at the food preparation counter. This prep bar is a great place to socialize as I struck up conversations, first with an Australian farmer and his wife and then with a Delta stewardess from Nashville on layover. Echoing other reviewers, this is a very good place to sit as you watch the chefs scramble to keep up with the orders, expertly preparing your food as you wait. But you won't wait for long after Rodney, one of the chefs, takes your order. My wife ordered the halibut special with risotto and I ordered halibut fish and chips. I watched the chef prepare a risotto special, placing sautéed vegetables and risotto on the plate, followed by a beautiful piece of halibut and sauce. As I began to salivate, wishing that were my order, Rodney took the plate and placed it before my wife. I was a lucky man as my wife, a putative vegan (heh, heh) shared a good portion of this halibut with me. It was so delicious. My halibut fish and chips arrived, both with large portions covering the plate. I dove in and bingo, again delicious. This halibut and chips was the best I have had so far on our RV voyage. Fish and chips with a good pale ale on tap. Now that's living. Tips were in order for both the waitress and the cook staff.
